History
German Speaking Switzerland was taken over by France as a result of the France-Switzerland War in early May 2008. It was returned to Switzerland in December 2008. On 20th July 2009 (day 608 of the New World) the region was renamed from German Speaking Switzerland to Deutschschweiz.
