New Colors in Country Template

Though I like the idea of colors in the template box, I HATE the red and green. It doesn't match the grey, blue, gold, white them of this wiki. It also makes me think of christmas (and not in a good way). Use two shades of blue, Blue and gold, purple and light blue. Anything is better than red and green --Q J Lincoln 20:22, 22 August 2008 (BST)

I used them just to try something, and I don't like them actually :) --Mini "Template boy" Bill Italian in the deep core wanna chat? 20:58, 22 August 2008 (BST)

Independet Countries?

What the hell? "Independent countries"? I don't see the point, can someone explain this one? - –Dr. AgentChieftain Flag of the Crescent and Star PPP! B / C / D / F / P / S 21:22, 12 September 2008 (BST)

We consider that Independent South African Republic does not belong here because this template is a list of the official countries in Erepublik. We encourage you add this information to the South Africa page because this represents an important chapter of that country's history. Thank you for your support! --Admin 09:13, 23 September 2008 (BST)
"Official" - there's a funny word we can play around with. Were the last general elections in South Africa "official" - elections in which over 50 multies were deleted from at least 2 foreign parties that were bumped into the top 5 parties, and thus on the ballot so as to knock two real, non-multi-using South African parties out of the elections? Yes, you admins know about this because that day you received dozens of letters... not mostly from South Africans... but mostly from the current Croatian occupation with a list of multies they mysteriously compiled. That list held on it 50 multies that joined two parties the day before elections so as to bump the BLF and another native party off the ballot.
The result? Unfair elections. Sure, one hour before election day ended, the two multi-parties were removed from the ballot and most of their votes disposed. But, the two parties that should have been there received one hour of ballot time. Enough for one to gain a mere 3 votes in congress.
Then we filed a bug report and asked for a revote of some sort... a fair one in which we could be back on the ballot like we were initially, and were put on again after multies were removed.
The only response back was that you couldn't fix this bug yet. So, as the government was not elected and therefore not legitimate, neither was South Africa as a nation. We created a new nation with our own government in which everyone was sovereign and the system democratics... yet today that freedom was taken away from us - the citizens of South Africa who did not have an election Sept. 1st - just a big bug. So you expect to sit there as admin, not correct our rigged elections and expect us to accept the result of this game when it wasn't played by the rules?
  • On a side note, I also sent in a personal bug report noting that I could vote in Presidential elections but could not vote in Congressional elections. I was told again that the bug couldn't be fixed, so I just had to deal with not being able to vote.

Category:Countries

Some of the translated pages about countries have this category on them. I would suggest that we remove this category from this template so ONLY main articles on English should appear in this category. I know that this will requite putting manually category on each Country article, but it will also prevent from duplicating categories on translated pages (instead Category:Countries and Category:Language on translated pages you will have only Category:Language). --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Click here to talk with me baby! ;) 14:02, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

needs update

canada, n. korea, s. korea, rep. of moldova are all independent again. updates nessecary

Reformat

Since this template needs almost constant updating every time a country is destroyed/reborn, I think it is time to remove the colours. Now that only a few people can edit templates anyway, I don't think the system really works anymore.--Martin23230 17:59, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
