Misc

Evolution of my Signature

Pretty simple and not very original. I think it looked good though.
That circle is a Zen symbol I used as my citizen's avatar when I was in Japan. Don't really know why I put it here, it didn't turn out to look very good after all. Guess I just wanted to experiment. Well, I failed there.
I decided to get back to the first one. It's slightly modified as you can see. I think it's pretty clever.

Speech balloon.png RC Combo

nao, liek, you got this by unlocking the super-mega-unleashing-recent-change-combo-awarded-to-the-most-kick-a**-edit-summaries-of-all-times-which-requires-quite-a-lot-of-skill-and-determination-AND-a-lot-of-pages-to-edit

A secret about me

When I moved File:Eden13members.jpg to File:Flag-EDEN.jpg, the reason was: "There are now FOUR version of EDEN logo around.". That was a lie. There were in fact...FIVE versions if we count the one I spared. *gasp*

Useful things

Ultimate weapon for fighting bad links

I copy and paste the following to Firefox's search bar and got everything I need if I need to fix large amount of links on a page:

{{DL| {{L| }} File:

It sure helps when I don't have to type everything over and over again.

Message "templates"

In the past months I've had to notify many translators about certain things, mainly about the pages they've translated. I know that at some point I'll have to start doing so again, so I might as well write myself a basic messages which I can build an appropriate message and modify it according to each case:

  • When translating pages, there are few things you should know. First of all, you shouldn't translate the links as they are, because that way they will result in redirects. To create links to translated pages, you should use {{[[Template:L|L]]}}-template created for this purpose. So when there's a link <nowiki>[[Link]]</nowiki> you must not translate the text "Link" but put it like this <nowiki>{{L|Link|Word in your language}}</nowiki> in order for it to work. And if you know the page you're linking to has already been translated, you can use {{[[Template:DL|DL]]}}-template which works the same way. Another thing to keep in mind are categories: do not translate them! Translated pages should have only the category of the language (in your case <nowiki>[[Category:Language‎]]</nowiki> and those that are added automatically by templates. Remove any other categories from the translation. You might also want to read '''[[Help:Translating_Pages|this]]''' page for more information about translating. Thank you for understanding! --~~~~
  • Hi! We're happy that you've decided to translate eRepublik Wiki to your language, but please pay attention to categories. Translated pages should only have category of the language and those that are automatically added by templates. So <nowiki>[[Category:Language]]</nowiki> is the only one you will need, please remove categories like '''Politics''', '''Economy''', '''Playing the Game''' etc from the translated articles. --~~~~
  • You might also want to read about '''[[Help:Translating_Pages#Creating_Links|linking]]''' to translated article - {{[[Template:L|L]]}} and {{[[Template:DL|DL]]}} are very useful tools for all translators, please learn how to use them. Thank you for understanding and good luck in the future! --~~~~
  • Please don't create redirects between your User and Citizen pages.{{Ref|http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Help:Contents#DO_NOTs}} User page is meant to contain information about you as a Wiki editor, whereas citizen page is for information regarding your eRepublik citizen.<nowiki> *<nowiki>If you have anything to ask, please leave me a message on my [[User talk:Kuhaa|talk page]].
  • And "Cheers/Thank you for understanding/Have a nice day" to the end. And signature.

I know, it's cheap but I am going to modify it so this is not the same as putting a machine on the job! It's faster when I don't have to type everything again each time because I swear I've done it already a thousand times. Yes, the longer ones already have signature attached to them and all visible <nowiki>'s are there because of a prupose.
