The Birth and early weeks
William Shafer was born on August 31st, 2008. He got his first job at Southern Housing, but quickly left for CJWillWin's Guns. He spent every day working and training. He trained until he reached a strength level of 3 and was then asked by Cj Will Win if he wanted to join the eArmy. He prides himself on being a thief and a toolbag.
Service in the eArmy
Starting out as a lowly private in Charlie Squad, Shafer quickly worked his way up through the ranks. Only a few short weeks after he was attached to Charlie Squad, the General, Cj Will Win, asked him if he wanted to be a Squad leader. William accepted and was given control of 11th Squad, "The Silver Arrows". After only two or three weeks as a squad leader, he was asked if he would like to be a Platoon Leader. He accepted and was given control of 3rd Platoon. He spent some time leading 3rd Platoon, and then the General was replaced. Moishe had become the new General and decided to change rename Platoons Divisions and Squads became Platoons. William chose one of his old squad leaders, Joeph Cole, as his Executive Officer for 3rd Division. Third Division did good, setting the bar for the other eArmy Divisions. Third Division had seemingly become a "Test" division, as most ideas set in place with the eArmy were tested on Third Division first. General Moishe and President Benn Dover had some qualms, however, and Moishe had decided to step down as General. He appointed William Shafer as his replacement. After a few months as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Shafer retired and appointed his old XO from 3rd Division, Joeph Cole, as his replacement.
A Political Career
William Shafer had decided, shortly before his selection for General of the Army and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that he would run for Congressman in Michigan. He campaigned as quickly as he could and got the endorsement of the RfC Party President.
He ran for Party President of the RfC and lost to Desertfalcon 119-20-8 in December 2008. The third candidate was Konner Oslo
A break from the USA
William Shafer was bored of life in eUSA. He needed a break. He was offered Vice President by two presidential candidates for the January 09 elections, but he turned it down and moved to eRussia and tried to set up a professional military.
The communist party supported him privately and the Free Russia Party supported him publicly, but the communists would deny their support whenever he issued orders or tried to get things done, so he decided to move back to eUSA. He spent 5 days in Russia.
Back to the eUSA
After his 5 days in eRussia, he moved back to eUSA and re-enlisted in the Army. A few days in, he was asked by one of the Colonels if he would transfer to their Division as a Company Commander. E Company of 2nd Division had become the first US Army Rangers unit, requiring a minimum of 5 strength and an in-game rank of Sergeant.
Shafer was then promoted to Lt General of the Army, but then became a Vice-Presidential candidate. He left to Germany on personal business after dropping out from the race, however, and now resides in Singapore City, Singapore.
