Hans Rienveld is a citizen of the Icon-Netherlands.png Netherlands. He served multiple terms as a member of Congress and his 1 term as Party president of the Libertarian Social Democrats.

Early Life

Hans Rienveld started life on day 895 (RL date: 03.05.2010) of the New World. He immediately became a proud citizen of the United Netherlands. The first few days of his life he spent on getting himself a job and learning more about the world he was born into.

On his birthday however Hans had also found and joined the official UNL forum and this was the start of a surge of activity as he posted many questions about the game and it's workings. On the forum he found a very helpful and friendly community, and at this point Hans started to realise the true potential of the New World he had discovered.

Political Life

Early political life

Day 899 was an important milestone in the still very short life of Hans as he reached level 7 and was able to finally join a political party. His political beliefs led him to the Libertarian Social Democrats (LSD). The reason that this was an important milestone was that Hans has decided very early on that what appealed most to him in the New World was the world of politics. Having had joined the party, he wasted no time in introducing himself to his fellow party members. From this introduction we can really capture the excitement and passion Hans felt for the New World:

"Ever since i've joined the New World my interest and excitement have grown day by day and level by level and I am looking forward to becoming a active participant in this party and erepublik."

He didn't mince his words as on day 902 he volunteered to join the UNL Awards group. This was the first official appointment of Hans in the New World but his second was soon to follow as on day 908 he joined the government as State Secretary of Ministry if Recruitment & Coaching when coollisport, who had held the post, suddenly moved to USA. According to some people Hans was the second youngest UNL citizen ever to be in government.

Congress

On day 917 the Congressional Elections for June 2010 were held and Hans was voted into Congress for the first time in his life. To say he was proud to have become a Member of Congress is an understatement.

Media

This was the start of a very active spell for Hans as on day 910 another milestone was reached when he first started his own newspaper, The Rienveld Review, and with his first article announced that he would be running for Congress ([1]).
