Bratislava is a region in Slovakia and its capital is Bratislava.

History
On April 13, 2008, the Czech Republic annexed Slovakia as a result of the Slovakia-Czech Republic War. Then, on June 23, 2008, Hungary annexed the former Slovakian regions as a result of the Hungary-Czech Republic War. In November 2008 Hungary gave it back to Slovakia through a resistance war.
The capital city of the region is also called Bratislava.
Before 1920, the city and region of Bratislava was once known as Pozsony[1].
