Field Marshal (Ret.) Jhorlin MBE DSO MC MID, is the former head of the UK military as the Chief of the General Staff.
Biography
Political Career
Upon reaching level 7, and thereafter, Jhorlin joined the United Kingdom Reform Party. After gaining experience, he looked to develop his keen interest in politics. This began with discussion at party level, and moved on to running for congress in his local constituency, the North East of England.
In his first campaign in August 2009, he was voted third, and did not make it into Parliament. Following this, he looked to the next months campaign, where he succeeded in gaining the most votes for the region, securing his place as Congress member.
Jhorlin also served for the United Kingdom Reform Party as a congressional Election Director for September 2009 and since has often helped the party co-ordinate mobile voters on voting days. He remains with the party to offer advice, and help out where needed. He remained part of the party during the Ajay Bruno political take-over, and helped to plan for rebuilding the party during that time.
Jhorlin was instrumental in the formation of the North East Council, designed to deal directly with regional issues (most notably, raising funding for a Q5 hospital). Having drafted the constitution, he was the first chairman of the council, and still holds the position on formality. The council fell into disuse after the region was lost to Sweden.
In April 2010, Jhorlin marked a return to politics by securing a seat in Congress in the North East of England. Shortly after the CP elections in May 2010, Prime Minister jamesw appointed him the Minister for Rations, responsible for restarting the #freeguns scheme. Upon appointment as Chief of the General Staff, Jhorlin resigned as Minister.
In June 2010, as a reaction to the undermining of the House of Lords Act, Jhorlin controversially ran for Party President of The Unity Party. The Unity Party faced a takeover attempt from UKRP member Jhorlin, determined on reversing legalisation through any means necessary that the party voted on an amendment for the House of Lords, which caused much debate and a massive forum split during the voting proceeding; the legislation effectively killed the ill fated House of Lords which was a split for many left-right politicians. Pensive won the election with a landslide result of 82% but the battle for the House of Lords to be reintroduced raged for a long time in Public Discussion.
Following this, a return to politics was marked by a return to congress, with Jhorlin becoming an MP once again, this time for London, in July 2010. Shortly thereafter, he was made junior Minister for Work under jamesw's premiership. Following GGRyan's election, he was a Minister without Portfolio.
Jhorlin stopped his career as a congressman at the end of November 2010, in preparation for his candidacy for Country President in December. On 6th December 2010 Jhorlin became the 27th Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Returning to congress at the end of January 2011, an eighth congress term lasted for only 10 days before Jhorlin became the 29th President of the United Kingdom on 6th February.
Military Career
Jhorlin started his organised military career by joining The Royal Guard, . Upon the dissolution of the Royal Guard in October 2009, Jhorlin left the military (not having the high strength requirements to join The Royal Parachute Regiment, nor the will to join The Royal Navy).
After a spell of absence from the military, Jhorlin joined The Royal Parachute Regiment at the end of 2009. He quickly became involved in helping out, becoming an official Supplier. After the migration to the Special Forces Support Group, he continued to operate as a supplier, with the new rank of Brigadier.
Instrumental in the military reforms in April 2010, Jhorlin was promoted to Major-General upon appointment as General Staff Officer, Special Air Service. He remained as 2/IC to Count Drakula until his promotion to Field Marshal as Chief of the General Staff in late May 2010. After resigning as Chief of the General Staff in late June, Jhorlin resumed fighting duties with the Special Air Service until it was disbanded. After the dissolution of the SAS, Jhorlin remains with the army for organisational reasons, and was associated for a brief stint with the paramilitary group The Paras, led by Maddog Jones. After this, he remained with the Army, and was member of the UK Special Forces.
In the Canada war, Jhorlin earned his first battle hero, through a self-funded mini-tank adventure in Scotland. Since then, with the new battle mechanics, he has achieved further battle hero awards.
