Introduction
Jimbojoy originally joined the game in the May of 2009, after playing the browser game Evony, which he has stated that he had enjoyed the military aspect of this MMO, but wanted a more social and political game to play, and found eRepublik through a recommendation on Evony by veteran citizen Will Salmon. After signing up and forgetting about eRepublik over the summer (missing the PEACE invasion of North America that would so define the politics and foreign affairs of his first year in the game, Jimbo started a new account in the September of 2009 and began to play in earnest.
Career Summary
Jimbojoy is a 7 time cabinet minister in the UK, and has served three terms in the frontline Ministry of Home Affairs. He is a long time Mentoring and Recruitment leader, himself defining his main activities as "Finding new players to help, message and mentor, looking after them by offering advice on the game, and on the best opportunities available. We can give guidance on the forums and attempt to retain players but half the battle is in showing people just how much you can do off-site - that's my hardest, but most satisfying job."
Jimbo is a long time member of the Official UK military, which he first joined in V1 in the period where it was known as the Royal Navy, and remained there throughout its 2010 reforms, when it became the British Army. He was assigned to the Royal Artillery, but after a summer with RL activites, two clicked for the Military until the Army because a tri-banded organisation with the re-introduction of a battle wall.
