MAHARLIKA, which is from a a Filipino term meaning “nobility” or “aristocracy”, is a second generation Center Philippine Political Party, succeeding the New Philippines Party and P.C.B. Filipino. It was renamed in June of 2012. MAHARLIKA is currently one of the largest party in the Philippines.

History

In June of 2012, MAHARLIKA party was formed from the Elite Philippines Movement by party president TZOY. It never ran a candidate for Presidential elections until September of 2012, when the party supported Destroyer S87 of DPP in the Presidential elections. In November of 2012, it fielded a Presidential candidate for the first time when its former party president, Mr.Beany, proposed TZOY as candidate for the Presidential elections.
