Since recently an official elected position in eRepublik, many political parties and countries designate a Vice President. This person is usually charged with taking control of situations when the elected President or Party president is absent.

Vice President
An officer ranking next below a president, usually empowered to assume the president's duties under conditions such as absence, illness, or death.

Vice Presidents are often a valuable advisor of the President during his/her office(s).

Vice Party President or Vice President of Party
Position that can be established by the Party president as a de facto position with the party.

Unlike the Party President which is a role created by eRepublik, each party does not have to appoint a Vice Party President. The Movement for Democratic Unity and Democrats of New Sweden are some of the parties that have had one in the past.

Equivalent Positions and Titles

Equivalent political positions and titles include:

Deputy Prime Minister or Vice Prime Minister
A political role of the minister who can take the position of the Prime Minister of their Government if the need arises. Generally speaking, the Deputy Prime Minister is also the Deputy Leader of a political party or the Leader of the secondary party involved in a Coalition. Occasions where the Deputy Prime Minister will take power in eRepublik include Death, Banning or extended periods of unavailability of the Prime Minister.

The Deputy Prime Minister role can be likened to the role of Vice President as both involve similar responsibilities.
