Eire Aonair is a political party of Ireland. It was founded on March 17th 2011.
This party is centred around individual freedom, value politics, but also a sovereign country.
Communications
Eire Aonair communicates using in-game resources (articles, group private messages & live feed).
Charter
Since March 2016, the Eire Aonair Charter has replaced the former constitution on the initiative of party president Martinho69 and his cabinet. The charter limits the PP's powers and mentions the member's responsibilities within the party.

Summary | |||
---|---|---|---|
Preamble"Eire Aonair’s purpose is to serve Ireland by creating a united and diverse community. It aims at ensuring a sovereign democratic country based on the national devotion of citizens, loyal in their operations first and foremost to Ireland." Fundamental principlesThe first section of the Charter mentions every aspect of Eire Aonair identity. Also it officially includes Gaelic as one of the two languages the members can speak in the common threads, exhilarating the Irish national identity the party embodies. Community valuesMentions the role every cabinet member has toward the party, as well as the fact that every member who yearns for responsibilities in the community must remain active to show people that he or her deserves it. The Party ParliamentThe key point of the party's "Renewal" (as the author of the Charter calls it), was to create a parliament that limits the PP's powers thanks to member's vote. Also, it provides the members the unique capacity to impeach the Party President in case of he or her might represent a threat for liberty. Democratic ShieldThe last section called "Democratic shield" aims at, in a same manner, giving the members a right to remove the Party President from office if he or her does not respect the principles of the Charter. The article exactly goes : "If the Party President do not dare to comply with the principles of the Charter without referring the Party Parliament first, Eire Aonair members are allowed to take all measures they might consider necessary in order to remove him from office." |
Politics
Eire Aonair's principle political values are outlined in their constitution. Additional political stances are decided democratically by the members of the party through a process of proposal and voting. Stances can also be reversed, replaced, or amended through a voting process outlined in section one of each stance. These stances are not partisan commitments, but represent the interests that should be protected by the party's leader in representing the members.
Northern Ireland
In May of 2011 Eire Aonair passed its official stance on the territory of Northern Ireland in eRepublik. [1] The stance outlines that Northern Ireland is legitimately an original territory of the UK where Ireland is defined as the Republic of Ireland rather than the island. This conclusion is drawn in response to ideas of a United Ireland that come from real life history. The stance goes on to say that despite this conclusion, Northern Ireland is still a natural target for Ireland's military since the other two of Ireland's neighbours are historical in-game allies, and Northern Ireland is a border region with Ireland. This stance supports a strategic view of Northern Ireland rather than a fanatical one.
Democratic Practices
In September of 2011 a new official stance was passed by Eire Aonair outlining the democratic expectations of the party for Ireland. [2] The document supports a discrimination free democracy where loyal citizens are encouraged to vote without being under duress or authoritative instruction. It also makes comments on the ideals of logical debate rather than rhetoric or pure propaganda. In addition, the conditions of party support are outlined stating that, "(the) official political support of Eire Aonair for a political candidate does not represent a guaranteed vote from all of the party's members."
External Candidates
In August of 2013 a new policy was enacted in order to provide political opportunities to members of political parties which are not in the top five. Within this document would-be candidates with Eire Aonair who are loyal and active to alternative eIrish political parties are described as "external candidates". Under this policy the discretion of Eire Aonair's leadership is required in determining which external candidates are suitable to participate in this new policy. The reasoning behind this stance, which was voted into effect by the members of Eire Aonair, is to lend a voice to political minorities who would otherwise be unable to find representation in Dail, in the same way that Eire Aonair benefitted from the good will of many top 5 political parties when it was such a minority. It was determined that such a policy was necessary because of the complications presented by the new congress election system, where political parties are voted for rather than candidates. In an effort to take into account the effects of this change the following rules are instated with regard to external candidates:
1. A maximum of two external candidates may be permitted willful priority by the party president of Eire Aonair. 2. No external candidate shall be appointed by the party president a top five spot above any proven member of Eire Aonair.
Within the bounds of these rules the priority of external candidates will be determined in the same way as all other candidates, through the rankings provided by Eire Aonair's leadership board (party president, vice president, secretary general, councillor, and spokesman).
Members
Eire Aonair has been home to many players of various real life and in game backgrounds ranging from anarcho-capitalists to socialists. Dominantly Eire Aonair's members communicate in english and endorse an Irish cultural foundation.

History
Foundation
Eire Aonair's name and symbol (the raven) were inspired by the influences of Eire Aontaithe and its founder Wandering Rian. Eire Aonair was founded on March 17, 2011 by Ian E Coleman. This was after the complete wipe of eIreland in December 2010 that had removed all of eIreland's previous political parties - an event that forced the nation to start over from scratch. Three months after this event, the political scene of eIreland was saturated with new political parties. The high saturation of eIreland's political scene explains the slow growth of the party and much of the continued difficulties that would be faced in the future.
Eire Aonair was founded as a freethinking semi-partisan party - a party driven by principles rather than political ideology that would look for the best ideas from every corner of the political scene. The party would encourage free speech, constructive debate, and smart gameplay. As shown by Eire Aonair's constitution, strong emphasis was placed on the welfare of gamers, encouraging a healthy and supportive community and a balance between gaming and real life.
Early History (2011-2012) | |||
---|---|---|---|
Early HistoryBremen ClubhouseDue to timing, shortly after the foundation of Eire Aonair, the party came under attacks from the Bremen Clubhouse, a group of hostile British political take-over agents. At the time Ireland and the UK were continuing their long and heated war with each other. After falling under the control of hostile efforts, Eire Aonair was able to exist underground for one month. In the following month genuine members were able to regain control. During this same time, all of eIreland was engaged in a strategic Anti-takeover effort to avoid giving congress seats to hostile take-over agents - Eire Aonair played an important role in ensuring the success of these efforts. Early EffortsEire Aonair and its members have headed many breakthrough projects ranging from economic to military matters. The first member to create a project was Stranger Here Myself who developed The Moynihan Group as an economic think tank. Stranger Here Myself's work and ideas would later lead to award winning projects and in-depth economic discussion. In June of 2011 Eire Aonair's Donnzer worked with the party to develop the The Black Buck Initiative. This initiative was designed to collect military intelligence and was later re-calibrated to collect information and statistics for analysis. [18] In late July of 2011 an article published on behalf of Eire Aonair, Eire Aonair Test Run Company Project: A More Efficient Commune, won the award for Article of the Month in June 2011. [19] This project was the collaborative effort of many members and involved active experimentation and economic study to increase the efficiency of military communes. The project concluded that by using a purchased based model (rather than a production version) efficiency could be improved by more than 40%. The new model was the brainchild of EA economist Stranger Here Myself. Sir Adriano Prette ran the practical research and analysis for the project, including the management of the company and the calculations of efficiency comparisons Also in July 2011, the party took large steps to improve internal communication under the guidance D-Glennon. This coincided with admin changes to ingame communications that allowed for a shout feed and conference private messages. At the same time, through his suggestion Joey Millz initiates the creation of an Eire Aonair Department of Recruitment. The new department aims to help generate interest and gain new members for the party. JIG and EAMUAround the middle of August 2011 Stranger Here Myself creates a new Group Joint Investment Scheme with the Moynihan Group, modelled after similar work done in Hungary. The new project operates by allowing a group of investors to found Q4 companies in a short period of time through a system of group payments. By September Eire Aonair's Joint Investment Project is continuing with considerable success. The remaining participants (Patrick O'leary, Connor H, Stranger Here Myself, John Gormley, Sir Adriano Prette, joey millz, D-Glennon, and Ian E Coleman) continue to make contributions, and by the end of the month four Q4 companies are already constructed. This project would end a success, with all of the participants benefiting. At this same time Eire Aonair's project of creating a military unit is realized when agreements with Bassy finally come into fruition. Bassy donates his military unit, once called Troid na hEireann Arm, to the newly formed E.A.M.U. to be used as its military unit. For his great contribution to the party and the E.A.M.U. project, Bassy is made the first Chief Command Officer of the new unit. New uniforms and a constitution are made public and recruitment begins. This MU is later discontinued due to supply problems, only to be re-opened in the summer of 2012. Later EAMU was disbanded again in favour of supporting a central national military unit, Irish Army. With many successful innovations and ideas, EAMU becomes a model for a new more open Irish Army as EAMU soldiers join their central national force. MikeBaneNovember of 2011 was a difficult month for Eire Aonair. After being elected to Party President, MikeBane was met with resistance following his decisions to change elements of the party's public image. Many of MikeBanes changes reflected his famous ego - changing the name and description of the party to focus on his leadership. Bane also opted to redesign elements of the Eire Aonair logo, compromising the black raven for a red star. These changes were met with resistance from the core members of Eire Aonair. Although purely cosmetic, the focus of party image on MikeBane's leadership was seen as a contradiction to the party's values for group leadership, democratically focused decision making, and teamwork. The red star added to the party's logo was seen as a symbol for the political left, and many Eire Aonair members were unhappy with the abolishment of the raven, which had been an important symbol of the party since its foundation nine months ago. Following the large amount of negative feedback regarding his changes, MikeBane decided to undo the changes he had made and to apologize to the party. He did promise not to make any such changes again without consulting the members of the party first. Despite MikeBane reverting his changes as party president, some members of Eire Aonair remained unsatisfied with MikeBane's leadership. Following a damaging article from a fellow member of Eire Aonair regarding his actions during the term, MikeBane would resign from the position of Party President. The article in question presented MikeBane as a political takeover leader and self-absorbed dictator, despite being published after an apology by MikeBane and the reversion of the changes that were objected to. According to the founder of Eire Aonair, Ian E Coleman "I believe that (the controversial actions of Mike) (were) an honest mistake - rather than a PTO which I think of as a malicious and conscious attack." [20] After MikeBane's resignation, Bhane, a trusted friend of Eire Aonair and a loyal member of the Irish Union Party, took the temporary position of party president to protect the party during its transition. Later the Party President position was passed to Reactionist for the remainder of the term. Joey Millz EraOn April 16, 2012 Joey Millz was elected to lead Eire Aonair for the first time. It would be the first of five wins for Joey in the next six months, tying him with D-Glennon for the most times leading the party, and doing so in a convincingly consecutive fashion. As a loyal member of Eire Aonair, Joey lead as a conservative president - preserving the parties logo, forum, and description for the summer months. Joey's terms lasted from April 16, 2012 to September 2012, with the exception of the June elections which were won by MrConwayTwitty. In September the admin introduced reforms to the political module, and falling activity lead to a decline in Eire Aonair's standing. The new political module introduced a system where party presidents prioritize congress candidates on a list and elections were determined by voting for each party, rather than the old system where each candidate could be voted for independently. October 2012 RenewalOn October 16, 2012 Ian E Coleman was elected to lead Eire Aonair for his fifth time. With his election he began a new recruiting campaign to replenish the party's waining numbers, and received the party's approval to institute a new party logo featuring a raven bearing an Irish harp. Below the party's name, Éire Aonair, the new logo features the words "Tabhair | Comhoibriú | Éiríonn" which means Give, Cooperate, Succeed. [21] By mid-November, the party had grown to 18 members, and was only two members short of the top five where Independent Voices had 20. |
Late History (2013-2016) | |||
---|---|---|---|
Late HistorySaoirse MergerOn February 10, 2013, it was announced that Saoirse, the second largest political party at the time, would become a part of Éire Aonair. [22] To avoid a large amount of membership attrition, the members of Éire Aonair moved into the Saoirse party and the name and description of Saoirse were then changed to Éire Aonair's. This brought Éire Aonair from having less than 20 members and being out of the top five, to having more than 50 members and being the second place party. The effect of the merger was that all of the members of Saoirse had joined under the original constitution and legacy of the Éire Aonair. Saoirse and Éire Aonair had both been like minded and similar in their approaches to political philosophy in many ways before the merger. This merger removed significant pressure from the political scene in eIreland by bringing more of eIreland under the top five. On February 15, 2013, Ian E Coleman, the founder of EA, was elected the first party president of the merged Éire Aonair. [23] The merger had been negotiated under the party presidencies of Uljanov (Saoirse) and Leo Demidov (EA). For the first month the party was run to be run by a council with two members from each party - MUFC92 (Saoirse founder), Uljanov (last Saoirse president), Leo Demidov (president of EA for January '13), and Sir Adriano Prette (long time member of EA). The merged Éire Aonair would go on to win their first congress elections with the most total votes (50) and 11 (27.93%) elected congress representatives. [24][25] Becoming A LeaderIn the many months that would follow the Saoirse merger, Éire Aonair became a leading political force in eIreland. In March of 2013, the month after the merger, an Éire Aonair candidate was elected Country President, when MUFC92 won the elections with 40% of the vote. [26] He would be re-elected the month following, and pave the way for an additional three elections of ÉA canadidates in 2013, and five in 2014. By 2014 the party was secure as the number one party in membership, and boasted a high percentage of the voter turnouts during Dáil election times. [27] Éire Aonair came to represent a powerful political faction who's members could turn elections, but who's support could only be earned by convincing members individually of the merit of a candidate or idea. Daniel.PlainviewOne dark chapter in the history of Éire Aonair, was the betrayal of Daniel.Plainview. After gaining the trust of eIreland and Éire Aonair to the point where he was elected Country President in April of 2014, he would ultimately try to steal funds from the government and sabotage the nation before being impeached. In his first month, Daniel managed to gain the support of four other parties, including The Left Hand of Ireland, who were of significant size. [28] He won with 62 votes and nearly 50% of the total support, against formidable opponents in Don Gomar and Mirek12345 who were both establish members of the community. Daniel himself had only been in eIreland for a number of months, but had won support and trust through his activity and positive involvement in the community. In fact, Daniel's first month went fairly smoothly, which allowed him to run and be elected for a second month in May. Unfortunately, this second month would not go smoothly, as Daniel.Plainview was impeached on the 16th. [29] The coincided with Daniel initiating several malicious proposals to the country's administration, including a proposal to leave Aurora, the alliance of eIreland at the time. Daniel had also made attempts to steal funds from government orgs, and had asked Ian E Coleman for Command of the IA, but been rejected. Luckily security measures had been in place against theft, and the Ministry of Finance had taken pro-active measures given the unproven nature of Daniel.Plainview's status in the community in the first place. It was reported that the damage was minimal, relative to the risk associated with a malicious CP. Early 2016 reforms : the "Second Renewal"After several months spent in the shadow of the Independant Labour Party, another "Renewal" takes place within the party under Trito Fisher's and especially Martinho69's presidencies. During that time when the current Party Charter is written (February-March 2016), Eire Aonair became the party with the largest number of members in eIreland. On April 5th 2016, Sluagh., party councillor at that time, is elected Country President. It had been nine months since the last time a member, Anthony Colby, occupied this function in June-July 2016 [30]. Trito Fisher and Alpha.Primaris entered government respectively as Minister of Education and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Finally, Sluagh. became dictator a few weeks later, and engaged radical reforms toward the Irish administration. After three terms and that he refused to take part in the new government, Martinho69 decided to leave office at the end of his last term in April 2016 [31]. Trito Fisher became his successor at the head of the party, as well as one of the most powerful players in Ireland. Later, Trito Fisher announced the party's official stance on the eIrish government in an article [32]. In the article, Trito Fisher, as PP and the representative of the party, stated that Eire Aonair supports Sluagh.'s dictatorship and system of government. |
