Epic Battles are battles with a high amount of damage. When a battle is Epic, you get double Prestige points and the BH medals of the corresponding round award double gold [1].
Closely contested Full Scale Battles (when the Domination Bar is between 49.5% and 50.5%) will award double Prestige Points and will behave as Epic Battles.[2]

Conditions
The damage needed for a battle to become Epic is based on the average amount of damage done in the last 7 days by all soldiers in their ground division battles or Aircraft battle. The exact formula won’t be disclosed, and the numbers vary based on the activity of citizens.
Remember that the double rewards occur only for the corresponding division where the Epic occurs and not for other divisions of that round. Of course, that doesn't mean that there can't be another Epic in the same round for another division.
History
Epic Battles were introduced during Epic warfare tournament. When a battle became epic, triple prestige points were awarded. After the tournament was over, they were kept just as a visual effect – with different battle backgrounds and a special icon on the campaigns page, but with no triple prestige points being awarded anymore.
Before division changes, the damage needed for the battle to become epic was like this:
Division | Exp Level | Damage |
---|---|---|
1 – 24 | 10.000.000 | |
25 – 29 | 30.000.000 | |
30 – 36 | 100.000.000 | |
37+ | 3.000.000.000 |
At the beginning of 2014, the damage needed was like this:
Division | Exp Level | Damage |
---|---|---|
1 – 34 | 100.000.000 | |
35 – 49 | 1.200.000.000 | |
50 – 69 | 3.000.000.000 | |
70+ | 5.000.000.000 |
On Day 2,523, the damage required changed like this [3]:
Division | Exp Level | Damage |
---|---|---|
1 – 34 | 150.000.000 | |
35 – 49 | 1.500.000.000 | |
50 – 69 | 4.500.000.000 | |
70+ | 10.000.000.000 |
On Day 5313, the damage required was around:
Division | Exp Level | Damage |
---|---|---|
1 – 34 | ||
35 – 49 | ||
50 – 69 | ||
70+ | 120.000.000.000 | |
All | 12.000.000 |
