The German Independence War began on November 19, 2008 with simultaneous offensives in Baden-Wurttemberg, Brandenburg and Berlin, and Bavaria.

Germany lost its independence to Sweden in two stages. During the First Swedish-German War in May 2008, Sweden took all but three regions of Germany. In July, Sweden took the remaining German territories and the German-conquered Polish territories (Germany-Poland War).
