Victor Petrescu is a controversial figure in eRepublik. He was transformed from an average Romanian citizen to becoming the president of Ireland.

In late July, Victor moved to Ireland and created the Ireland Reborn party. He won the presidential election of 1 August 2008. Some of his Romanian countrymen also won local elections. Some nations did not recognize the Petrescu government. The Irish people created various groups to fight the new leader.

Though no longer involved in politics, Victor Petrescu lived in Dublin for a while, and now he lives in various regions of Indonesia.
