Aland is an original region of Finland. The capital is Marienhamn. It was conquered by Estonia in June 2011 during the Estonian invasion of Finland.
Economy
The region Aland's main resource is 
Fish.
Controversy
There is a movement to break Aland away from Finland. This was expressed in an open letter [1] to the admins. The admin responded Åland can be available as an autonomous entity after the implementation of a more complex Resistance War module that we are thinking about. Until then, it is difficult to separate Åland from Finland. Since then, nothing has been done to make sure Aland becomes independent from Finland.
