In his early life, he used the Wiki to find his way around and complete the first few levels. He was drawn to the political aspect of the New World and found a home in the United Independents Party under the leadership and influence of Ansen. He was then mentored for a short time by NeilP99, Blake Chrysostom, Ansen, Stygian Steel, and many other members of the UIP cabinet. He was later intrigued by the economic and foreign relations aspects and began participating in the Anti-PTO effort prior to the implementation of citizenship.

Wilson worked for over a month building his construction skill at Southern States Home Builders, a branch of Southern States Holdings Ltd. He earned his first hardworker medal here. When SSHB went under on June 12, 2009 - Wilson decided it was a good time to change industries and found a job at Eagles Lumber working for fellow UIP member Stygian Steel. By establishing a high skill in all industries Wilson hoped to offer himself versatility when the wage market fluctuated.

Not long after joining Eagles Lumber, Wilson left the USA to help the newly created Peru get a start safe from political takeover. He moved to Peru on June 23, 2009 and began working for Hierro Fuerte, an Iron company owned and managed by Wilson's own organization Serenity Ltd.

Following a short vacation, David returned to find much of the world at war. With Peru secure from TO and militarily neutral, David decided to temporarily return to the USA and fight. This was both to build his personal military strength and experience, as well as to aid the nation which helped teach him the ways of the New World. During his military deployment to the USA, David took any job he could find as many companies were now under foreign control. He decided to temporarily close his personal companies and contribute the resources to the war effort.

Upon USA's signing of a peace treaty with the PEACE GC alliance, David decided to return to Peru for work at F&G Iron. F&G Iron was a division of F&G Production owned by his political successor Gangula IV. While working in Peru David decided to take a sabbatical to focus on his RL studies. Having let go of all responsibilities and cut ties with many, he slowly faded into the background.

In November 2011 David returned from an extended leave of absence. He found much of the landscape had changed. V2 had come and gone and the game mechanics were vastly different. Having joined Bootcamp, the National Guard, and later graduating to the Mobile Infantry and Army, he found employment in various military communes.

David founded the Organization "Serenity Ltd" which served as the General Manager for the "Firefly Diamond" Company based in Nunavut, Canada and the "Hierro Fuerte" Company in Great Andes, Peru. Firefly Diamonds served as a major exporter to the diamond barren USA. It should be noted that David was able to purchase this company much earlier than initially predicted due to a generous loan from fellow UIP member Jyles.

After his leave of absence David found organizations were no longer a part of the New Worlds landscape and all Serenity's assets were transferred to his private account. He now manages multiple food and weapons companies.

Wilson is the founder and author of The Progress. The Progress got its start as a counterpoint to philosophical discussion from USWP Party President Ananias concerning the ultimate goal of eRepublik, the feasibility of winning the game, and the growing divide between players who focus on game mechanics and those who focus on ideology. This discussion served as a strong learning tool for Wilson and ultimately led to the establishment of his moderate stance on the issues with leanings toward game mechanics. After his election to Congress, The Progress served as a mode of communication between David and his electorate.

After his move to Peru, Wilson renamed the publication Diario Ojo which served as one of the most actively read newspapers in the nation. He began publishing bilingual articles and nearly every article spent time on the front page. The paper's first article was an interview piece conducted with the December 2011 presidential candidates Oblige and Glove.

18th Congress - 1st Congressional Term
During the first term that he was eligible for Congress, David was elected as Congressman to Minnesota by a vote of 12 to 10 over his opponent, James Eric. He served in the 18th United States Congress. He was appointed to the Infrastructure Committee which was in the final stages of its existence. David helped foster discussion on how to best transition from a full 10 member Infrastructure Committee to a smaller 3-5 member panel, allowing for the placement of a larger number of Senators on the newly formed Foreign Relations Advisory Committee (FRAC). He had become very interested in foreign affairs and trade and began to explore new ways to give Congress a larger role in helping shape and develop US trade and military relations with foreign nations, working along side the US Military and Executive Branch. He was a pilot member of FRAC and was influential in the establishment of its infrastructure and core country intelligence. He has historically supported the free trade movement in which Congress voted to lower all raw material import taxes to 1%, as well as a lower import tax on moving tickets. He supports careful consideration of MPPs, voting to spend gold frugally on mutually beneficial agreements and not simply to protect smaller nations. He is always wary of MPPs and peace proposals that would seem to offer an advantage to military opponents. He approved of the benefits offered through war games, but simultaneously warned of ill-preparedness for surprise attacks and conflicting battles when allies need assistance.

David was elected to the first Congress of Peru representing the capital, Lima. He served as one of the minority party leaders (PDP) attempting to bridge the divide created between the PEP and the FDP during the first congressional elections. This rift was established as both parties were so concerned with protecting the nation of Peru from a PTO, that they accused each other of PTO and filled the newspapers with libel and negative propaganda.

Shortly after came the disappointing month in Congress elections with the election of only 11 AMP members to the Senate, much lower than the 18 David had anticipated. This was largely due to a conflict with iNCi regarding party cooperation and AMP support for Lazocracy. David was able to somewhat repair relations with iNCi, but the damage had been done.

During this congress season David also developed a strong critic in Chance Harrison. First, Chance tried to take credit for a tax decrease started in congress and rushed the in-game proposal, ignoring constitutional procedure. Shortly after, Chance was caught tanking for Hungary against U.S. ally Romania in an important battle. Due to these events, David decided not to support Chance for Congress as a 6th party candidate. In his rage, Chance proposed Indonesia as a Natural Enemy at a time when the U.S. needed to keep its Natural Enemy options open. Chance also became a very vocal critic of David Wilson and opposed him at every opportunity, even watching his fights so that he could steal any Battle Hero medals from him.

David Wilson was an American. At some point, after he died in 2018, he came back and renamed himself into Hazelrah.

The will to conquer is the first condition of victory.

—Ferdinand Foch

Icon achievement Society Builder on.gif Early Life (2009)

David Wilson began his elife in Illinois USA in April 2009, the second year of the New World.

David began his political career in the United Independents Party

In his early life, he used the Wiki to find his way around and complete the first few levels. He was drawn to the political aspect of the New World and found a home in the United Independents Party under the leadership and influence of Ansen. He was then mentored for a short time by NeilP99, Blake Chrysostom, Ansen, Stygian Steel, and many other members of the UIP cabinet. He was later intrigued by the economic and foreign relations aspects and began participating in the Anti-PTO effort prior to the implementation of citizenship.

Early Months

Wilson worked for over a month building his construction skill at Southern States Home Builders, a branch of Southern States Holdings Ltd. He earned his first hard worker medal here.

He moved to Peru on June 23, 2009, and began working for Hierro Fuerte, an Iron company owned and managed by Wilson's own organization Serenity Ltd.

Post-Sabbatical (2012)

After his leave of absence, David found organizations were no longer a part of the New Worlds landscape and all Serenity's assets were transferred to his private account.

It was once thought to demonstrate a bias towards the PEP but later became a paper of bi-partisanship, progress, and objective reporting rather than controversy and propaganda.

Wilson brought back The Progress after his leave of absence and intended to write historical articles to provide perspective on where the USA came from and where it should be headed. The paper's first article was an interview piece conducted with the December 2011 presidential candidates Oblige and Glove.

After being appointed the PAC Director for the American Military Party Wilson temporarily renamed his newspaper AMP News and began publishing party updates.

Shortly after becoming more involved in the State Department Wilson decided to broaden the scope of The World in Progress to cover domestic and foreign affairs as well as party news. After the re-branding, the newspaper saw a great boom in success with many articles reaching the domestic top 5. Subscriptions grew by nearly 300.

Some of the more popular articles included:

How should I spend my Gold Part of an education series which was subsequently translated and re-published in over 5 different languages across the globe.

We are the fraking AMP A Popular Party President Address that preceded a disappointing Congress season.

Meet Congress! Meet the All-Stars A controversial article criticizing Congress and calling for cooperation among the top 5 parties.

Working on the Work Tax! An objective summary of one of the most heated Congress debates and a tax vote that ended 26-25.

Wilson's newspaper was lastly published as The Atlantic. It has 600+ subscriptions and articles regularly receive 100+ votes.

Wilson has served 6 terms in Congress and 2 terms as Party President.

18th Congress - 1st Congressional Term

During the first term that he was eligible for Congress, David was elected as Congressman to Minnesota by a vote of 12 to 10 over his opponent, James Eric. He served in the May 2009 United States Congress. He was appointed to the Infrastructure Committee which was in the final stages of its existence. David helped to foster discussion on how to best transition from a full 10 member Infrastructure Committee to a smaller 3-5 member panel, allowing for the placement of a larger number of Senators on the newly formed Foreign Relations Advisory Committee (FRAC). He had become very interested in foreign affairs and trade and began to explore new ways to give Congress a larger role in helping shape and develop US trade and military relations with foreign nations, working alongside the US Military and Executive Branch. He approved of the benefits offered through war games but simultaneously warned of ill-preparedness for surprise attacks and conflicting battles when allies need assistance.

2nd Congressional Term

David was elected to the First Congress of Peru representing the capital, Lima. He served as one of the minority party leaders (PDP) attempting to bridge the divide created between the PEP and the FDP during the first congressional elections. This rift was established as both parties were so concerned with protecting the nation of Peru from a PTO, that they accused each other of PTO and filled the newspapers with libel and negative propaganda.

David's first proposal in Peruvian Congress was a lowering of the citizen fee to the minimum Flag-Peru.jpgPEN. The proposal passed 28-4.

Subsequent Terms

Wilson was elected to the 50th United States Congress in the state of Missouri. He served as an IES agent and helped encourage timely CBO donations. Wilson was again elected to the 52nd and the 53rd United States Congresses while he served as Party President of the American Military Party.

Wilson served as a congressman to the 75th United States Congress in the American Military Party. He helped expedite the Speaker of the House election in the short month of February and initiated a conversation about immigration as the nation was becoming more appealing with full economic bonuses.

Post-Sabbatical

After his sabbatical, David returned and found that the UIP had merged with the Federalist Party and a new party, the American Military Party, had formed. With his new interest in the military aspect of the New World and his desire to learn new things, David joined the AMP to explore the political-military intersection.

In December 2011 David became an ambassador to Chile and also the deputy PAC Director for the American Military Party. He also ran for Congress in the District of Columbia but lost to the New Conservative Party candidate Sugawara Michizane in what turned out to be a surprisingly successful election for the controversial NCP.

In January 2012 David was appointed PAC Director for the American Military Party under Party President Cleveland Fleman. He guided the AMP to 12 congressional seats that month and was himself elected in the state of Missouri.

In February 2012 David earned a spot as Deputy SoS for President Oblige's 3rd term. He served as Super-Ambassador to Bulgaria. He also served in the roundtable of the American Military Party again, this time as Communications Director under party president Jack Mensley. He also helped coordinate the party's congressional elections again while the PAC Director was on vacation.

In March 2012 David continued his work as an IES agent, helping the new Director Firo Prochainezo rehaul the immigration system. He also continued his work as Communications Director for the American Military Party. On March 15, he was elected as Party President of the American Military Party, less than 4 months after joining.

Party President

David has served 2 terms as Party President for the American Military Party

During his first term as AMP Party President, the party grew from 600 members to nearly 720. He revitalized the party WHIP position and tied a party record number of 15 congressmen. He combined the Fun and Education departments into a single Retention department. He made several amendments to the party Constitution increasing party efficiency and decreasing areas of conflict. He founded the party Shout Team and re-vamped recruiting efforts. His in-game Party President addresses were some of the most well-received of all time, garnering attention from not only within the party but throughout the USA.

During the month of April 2012, David also served as Head of Ambassadors under Secretary of State Tenshibo in the Artela Administration.

On April 15 he was elected to serve a second term as AMP Party President.

His second term was much more difficult and controversial. Early in the second term, David discovered that a member of the party leadership Arthur Ward had been formerly known as Wes Lewis and was infamous for a career filled with scandal in Canada. Arthur Ward promptly resigned but the situation was nonetheless a blow to the party leadership.
