Geography

The United States of America is part of the continent called North America. Its capital is located in Florida, but originally was Washington D.C. until it was temporarily conquered by Portugal. It has 51 regions: 48 states in the continental US, one district, and 2 detached states; Alaska borders western Canada and Hawaii is a string of islands in the Pacific Ocean. The United States borders the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, Spain, Japan, and Russia via its coastlines.

Regions of the United States

The United States is comprised of 50 states and the District of Columbia, for a total of 51 regions.
During the PEACE Invasion of North America, (an ongoing conflict between PEACE GC and the ATLANTIS successor alliances of EDEN and Fortis), many of the original USA regions were occupied by members of PEACE GC. The attack started on July 13th, 2009 when France invaded Canada and Russia invaded Alaska. On October 29th, 2009, the main battles in the country ended when Alaska was reclaimed by the United States and Nunavut was restored back to Canada.

Former Parties

Party Abb Description
Yellow Party YP The Yellow Party was created and led by Lowell Kennedy.
The Illuminati Ill A party created by Platonic in early 2008.
Outcasts of eRepublik OoR Both the leadership and name of this party has change many times from March through June of 2008. Originally the Democrat-Republicans led by Will Pilgrim, after he moved to Poland, TheSupernatural took leadership and changed the name to WALMARX. In May, Will Pilgrim moved back to USA and took the party back, renaming it Democrat-Republicans for a short time, and later Freedom Party. Under the moniker Freedom Party, Will appealed to citizens who felt sympathy for countries that have been taken over, and promised to aid small defending countries any way that they could. Will left in June, and the party belonged to TheSupernatural again. He renamed it one more time to Outcasts of eRepublik before resigning his seat, and moving to the Libertarian Party.
Project:JENOVA JEN A Center-Right party created and led by Booster Gold in the summer of 2008. The party had strong growth during the few months that it existed, apparently due to Booster Gold's prominence in the media. Late in the summer, though, Gold was banned for multi-accounting and the party fell into obscurity.
New Day Co-Op NDC A Center-Right party that was led by Tom Hanson.
Neo Libertarian Party NLP A Center-Right party that was led by Calibur. Several members from the Libertarian Party were unsatisfied with the way things were being run, and felt disillusioned by the Operation Eagle Strike scandal in the fall of 2008. They decided to create their own party with several influential members from the original.

History

Historical Events

US/Canadian War

On April 11th, the war between the United States and Canada commenced, and ended on April 26th. The battlefield statistics are disputed as incorrect, but the fight totals were 719 victories for Canadians to 400 for the USA, with 329 draws. There were 1448 total fights within the war, which was also paused twice due to bugs.

The USA Cancels MPP with Greece

On July 16th, the United States and Turkey came to an agreement that Turkey would pay 500 Gold to the United States to cancel their Mutual Protection Pact. The United States accepted, and their official stance is that it was going to happen anyhow, so they saw no reason not to accept the offer the Turks proposed. This has been disputed by many people around the world, who tell it to be a bribe. Officially, it was simply a contract signed by both countres. [1]

The Invasion of the United States of America

On 15th of July 2009, the state of Alaska was invaded by Russian forces. Within 2 Months of this event, The United States was down to one region, but thanks to good planning they took 6 regions, before signing a contract with Portugal. This contract gave them all the Originally American, Portuguese Controlled-Regions. This comes after the United States got the Indonesian MPP with the Portuguese to cancel, thus causing the Portuguese front to weaken significantly. Other rumors say the Portuguese were afraid of an Invasion of their homeland. Nonetheless, this brings both Nations closer together, and lowers the 3 fronts to two.
