Ian E Coleman is a citizen of Ireland and a resident of Cork, Ireland. He was born in Shannon, Ireland on September 21, 2010. Ian E Coleman is the owner of a newspaper by the name of The Coleman Global [1] and is a regular contributor to its pages. Ian is the founder and former Party President of Eire Aonair, a political party of Ireland.

Political History

Early Political Life

Shortly after joining the game of eRepublik (September 2010) Ian E Coleman joined the political party Eire Aontaithe. He had identified with the party and its philosophies, and had been impressed with its leaders. After writing several articles in his newspaper, The Coleman Global, Ian E Coleman had managed to make an early impression on readers in Ireland. Shortly following Connell Rath's October inauguration in 2010, Ian E Coleman was offered the position of Co-Minister of Information for Ireland; a position which he would accept. Ian E Coleman was to serve in the Ministry of Information with Minister Biffo3000, who was more experienced, and able to help make up for Ian E Coleman's inexperience. The Ministry of Information had a small role to play due to the Ministry Organization passwords being lost. Behind the scenes the ministry helped to shape the Irish wiki pages, and developed databases, surveys, and ultimately unpublished articles on the subject of EDEN. On the whole the October 2010 government was a success, accomplishing all of the official goals but falling short of meeting EDEN's requirements once again.

Post December 2010 Wipe

On December 7, 2010, the UK completely wiped Ireland off of the map, leading to every company, organization, and party being moved from Ireland to the UK. In effect Ireland was forced to rebuild with no parties, organizations, or companies. Ian E Coleman was no longer a member of Eire Aontaithe and so became an independent. Following the wipe of Ireland several new parties were founded, but Ian did not feel that any of them were right for him. In February of 2011 Ian E Coleman was given the position of Minister of Wiki by newly elected Country President Seanan. [2] This was an entirely new position that had been created to bring new focus to the task of keeping Ireland's wiki pages up to date and informative. This position has lead him to closely observe information related to Ireland and to gain a more in depth understanding of the history and mechanics of eRepublik. He was given this position again in March under the Presidency of 05637716/Ariovistus. [3]

Foundation of Eire Aonair

In March of 2011, after having been without a party for three months, Ian was playing with ideas of creating a new political party. Finally on March 17, 2011 (St.Patricks Day), Ian founded this Irish political party [4]. The name of this party was Eire Aonair and it would be a Center, Libertarian party. As the founder, Ian became the first Party President of Eire Aonair.

Continued Life

The party grew successfully, but about a month after its creation (April 15 - Party President elections) Ian made the fatal error of forgetting to run for presidency. The result was that the party was politically taken over by a group of British players. This lead to a month of the party existing underground as these illegal British immigrants changed the name and stance of the party. As part of a national anti-takeover movement against these same British players, Ian became a member of Dail for the first time [5]. None of the political-takeroverers were able to gain seats for the first month since January. For this election Ian had to run with the Irish Independent Party, because they were a top 5 party, which is the only kind of party who's members can run for congress. He also ran with this party in order to give them more than 7 candidates to run with which would allow their Party President to choose which candidates would run and therefore deny the political taker-overers the opportunity to gain seats in Dail.

On May 15, 2011, Ian was elected Party President of Eire Aonair uncontested. [6] This allowed him to restore the party back to its former state. The rest of the month was spent building the party by introducing new party stances and drafting party documents. In June 2011 Ian E Coleman was made Minister of Information by newly elected CP Irasian. He was also re-elected to the position of Party President of Eire Aonair with 14 votes (87.5%) [7].

In the next month, July, Ian would be reappointed to cabinet, this time by Chance Harrison who made him repeat Minister or Information and also Deputy Minister of Finance. [8] July was a difficult month for Ireland as the UK wiped the nation and there were many disheartening failed revolutionary wars and small short lived victories. Many of Eire Aonair's prominent members also became inactive due to the summer months or real life events. Looking to take a break from party presidency and hoping to breath new life into the party, Ian decided not to run for party presidency for the month. Instead he endorsed a trusted fellow member, D-Glennon, for the position of party president and offered his full assistance with the management of the party. [9] Under D-Glennon's management the party did well for the month and managed to have two members in congress as well as growing membership back to healthy levels.

On August 13, 2011, Ian was asked to be the Treasurer of The Moynihan Joint Investment Project [10]. This project pooled the funds of 10+ Irish citizens in order to but a Q4 company and then use the profits from that company and subsequent developments, to make the investments of each participant pay off faster than would be possible individually. As treasurer, Ian E Coleman accepted responsibility for handling and accounting for the pooled investments of the 10 investors.

On August 25, 2011, Ian was elected to Irish Dail in Cork while running with Eire Aonair. He recieved 5 votes.

Residence

Ian E Coleman was born in Shannon, Ireland. On November 20, 2010, the UK invaded much of Ireland, including Shannon. At that time, instead of moving, Ian began to work for a UK company in order to regain the health he had recently lost fighting in Wales. He might have moved north to escape the oppression, but the UK had already devalued the IEP and bought all of the food from the Irish markets. It was obvious that leaching off of the UK economy to use their own resources against them was the best course of action. Having regained health, Ian began to fight in revolutionary wars and when on November 22 Canada came to Ireland's aid, Ian fought along side the liberation forces which would eventually win back Shannon. Now Shannon was a territory under Canada's control since the invasion had not totally subsided and Ireland could never win the war on their own. Shannon served as a hub which touched every territory of Ireland. From there Canada was able to fight back the invasion force and save Ireland. This strategy worked so well that there was even discussion of permanently allowing Canada to hold Shannon so that Ireland could become a kind of Island fortress. On November 28, 2010, in order to once again join Ireland, Ian E Coleman moved out of Shannon, and became a resident of Cork, where he resides to this day (whenever there is no reason to temporarily be located some place else).

Business Life

Ian E Coleman is the founder of Eire Consumables, a weapons raw material company based out of Cork. This is a successful business that had been providing Ireland with home produced oil since mid-December 2010. In April 2011 the company was refitted from oil production in order to produce raw weapons materials due to a change to the economics module that month. Since the introduction of changes to the economic module in April 2011, Ian has primarily generated income from working in Irish companies of other citizens. He is only a casual business owner and speculator.

Ian has also been involved in economic and business programs such as the Eire Aonair Test Run Company project [25] and The Moynihan Joint Investment Group [26].

[27] In April of 2011 Ian was given an award for Community Supporter of the Month, by then Country President Marcus Suridius, for his work on Ireland's wiki. [28] In the "Amazing Review" edition of Irasian's community opinion articles Ian received a score of good overall with 14 votes toward him being a good citizen. [29]
