James Scarlet is a citizen of UK, soldier, and journalist born on Day 1466.
Member of the Funky Militia, and is a current member of the UK Reform Party. He is a recipient of a Zaphod. He received a Zaphod at the very first Zaphod Awards. He was awarded the Biggest Traitor To New Era Ever Award, for his article, "My Goodbye"; http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2201871/1/20
Politics
James began his life as a member of the UK Advancement Party under eLiam. He was a member of New Era for several months, serving as a Congress member three times, consecutively. He was the the Councillor for his final month before he left. Don Dapper called him a traitor and a turn coat for standing up for The Legion and it's Commander, Carlini8.
He joined the UK Reform Party, after Thedark Ace cornered him in IRC. He has since made his home at the UKRP, joining the recruitment team and running for PP. On the 25 of April in 2013, James earned his fourth Congressman medal under the UKRP. On the 5 of June 2013 Scarlet was appointed Spokesman of the UK Reform Party by the current Party president, LongshotzZ; after the previous Spokesperson, p00kachu, became inactive. On the sixth of June 2013 (Day 2025), Scarlet resigned, wanting to pursue Saudi citizenship.
Later, Scarlet decided not to change citizenship, however, he decided he was taking a break from politics. After his return from his brief Canadian vacation, Scarlet joined New Era's puppet party, the Radical Democratic Party. He PTO'd the party by being elected PP. He renamed it the James Scarlet Fan Club. Many members left the party, and after only five days as PP, he abdicated and returned to his home in the UKRP, where he resides. In the December 2013 elections, James earned his second Congress seat with the UKRP, his fifth overall.
On Day 2,238 he was appointed Minister of Entertainment, and assumed responsibilities the following day.
Military
eLiam convinced James to join Liberty. After joining New Era he joined the British Army, once called the British Bulldogs. He became increasingly dissatisfied with the lack of organization and supplies. He left, much to Dapper's annoyance, and joined the national MU, The Legion. He was in the Fifth Regiment, and led it as Captain.
After reaching Division Three, he transferred to the The Royal Dragoons; a semi-mobile UK MU started by Madacaion and Cygnus X1. After the May 2013 MU Contest, in which Scarlet fought for the UK under Team GB (Legion), he left the Royal Dragoons to pursue a different MU project.
On Day 2015, the Paratroopers were re-formed by Pfieffer and Dishmcds, along with help from Scarlet and Dnouser. He assumed the command of the Paratroopers on Day 2024. Scarlet also a supplied the Paras. He left the Paratroopers a mere twelve days after he became Commander. He found a home in Liberty UK and was the Captain of the First Regiment.
After two terms as Captain, Scarlet became active in the "Free Canada" initiative, primarily supported, in the UK, by the Royal Army Dental Corps (DC). Although Canada is under Spain's control, Scarlet, like some other UK'ers, is unhappy with Spain's support of TWO, and has many friends in Canada (such as Pat Harper). Therefore, he joined the Royal Canadian Medical Corps, commonly known as the Medics, on Day 2103 and began his "Free Canada" campaign.
After Canada was freed, James returned to London, and after spending a couple of days in Legion, decided that he wanted something a little more small-scale. Therefore, he joined the vibrant community that is the Funky Militia. James stayed with the Funk for awhile, but decided to leave in favor of a Second Commander position offered by Viridi, for his MU. Therefore, he left the Militia, and joined the Gelezinis Vilkas, or "Iron Wolves". The Wolves ended up being a flop, it never really took off; Scarlet returned to the Funk.
Forums & Newspaper
After returning, Scarlet became increasingly involved in the UK's National Forums. He is currently part of the Forum Promotion Team, called the Butjammernaughts, after the leader of the FPT, Butjam.
Scarlet is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Scarlet Letters, a semi-successful political and war commentary newspaper. It currently has just over 250 subscribers.
