Early Life
Ariovistus was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 8th 2009, Day 688 of the New World. He had game play in a former life and decided quickly that he would pursue a Career in the Military. Upon reaching level 5, the Minimum level to use the fight button in v1, he enlisted into the Irish Defence Forces and was placed in the Reserves. Because of his Good Karma from his former life he got to know many great people in his early life. Some notable people he associated with during his first few months were: Mr aNiallator, Grainne, Donovan, castaneda, Bockson, Kolshire, Nithraldur, and well wisher Edana amongst others.
His Military Career started off well and by the next month he was appointed Chief of Guard of this Reserve Division, during Ireland’s early participation in the Sol sponsored Malaysian-Filipino War Games. Near the end of November he decided to go big and so created a Political Party, The Jacobite Confederation. People initially said it was a waste of Gold, and he was inclined to believe them. By December it would become The Capitalist Party of Ireland, later still solidified into Clann na nGael. However it was always a secondary venture as his Military Career at the time was still his main avenue of play.
In late November he was promoted to Executive Officer in the 9th Regulars Division, around the time of a Slovakian Defense Operation. The 9th Regulars Division was Fielded Unit (A Fielded Unit was different from the Reserve branch, one was deployable out of country and got better supplies, the other was Training oriented). During this time he directed combat and supply of mainland European defenses, which included the Czech-Slovak Training Wars. Afterwards, he was selected as a joint-Commanding Officer of the Reserves in late December. Here he made many friends with new incoming recruits, supplying weapons and knowledge of the eRepublik v1 battlefield.
Because of his Military status, he was aware of and helped with The Master Plan. It consisted of Organizational and Logistical changes within the IDF. Come January he was the newly appointed Commander of the Belfast Fusiliers. He personally concentrated training in the ongoing Malaysian-Filipino War Games, gaining his first few Battle Hero medals during this time. Also in January was when he established the political entity - Clann na nGael. He served as a Party President and through co-operation with the Irish Freedom Party he would go on to win three seats in the Dáil Éireann, or Irish Congress.
Finally, on the 8th of February he was enlisted into the ranks of the IDF’s elite 'Na Fianna', of which the necessity to join was the Military Rank of Field Marshal (In v1 Field Marshal Rank was the Highest Rank allowed).
Elite Commander
During early April, the Ministry of Defense asked him if he'd takeover Command of Na Fianna and he accepted. He led his soldiers into a troubled Norway, which was under the sway of a Serbian political-takeover and an invading United Kingdom went to take the leftovers. This conflict resulted in a defeat the UK, and the Serbians. Over the course of two hellish Months in eRepublik history he continued his Command, assigned to him by successive Ministers of Defense. His soldiers traveled plenty, to India, South Africa, and elsewhere. Several Battles were fought including the defeat of Liaoning, China; acknowledged at the time as biggest battle ever fought in history.
Disappearance, Doubt, and Renewal
Ariovistus disappeared from the game on June 30th 2010, due to a thing called RL. This was just before eRepublik v2 finished public Beta and went live. Anyway he popped on-line a handful of times and returned completely by October 13th, 2010. His departure broke his most early streak in Hard Worker medals, which was a lot of work due to these Medals requiring literally 30 consecutive days each in v1.
He re-assumed a role as combatant in Na Fianna and for the IDF in general. However, the tales of Ireland's impressive v2 victories were muted wherever he went. Things had changed drastically for the worse by this time, partly the shelving of advantageous v2 game mechanics but mostly a cloud of doubt. While he was away several thefts of state had occurred and many of his former friends had died or migrated away from Ireland altogether as a result. He haphazardly carried on, being a soldier, disregarding ill tidings he was not fully aware of.
Come November, newly elected Taoiseach orangejuicemmm attacked the state due to an external political dispute. He dissolved many of the IDF’s companies, created two resistance wars in friendly colonies, and was summarily Impeached. The result of this was a defenseless and clearly prone Ireland, this is when Ariovistus considered emigrating for the first time. Under the pressures of British attacks and aforementioned irresponsibility towards the IDF, Ireland fell to the British on December 7th. Ariovistus led a Resistance War in Dublin prior to this reality. It was ultimately successful but met stiff British priority to keep it down long enough to capture Ireland's only remaining region and in tandem 'wipe' Ireland completely. To 'wipe' or erase a Country from the map had a disastrous mechanical consequence during post v2, all of Irelands Parties and Companies were migrated to the Invader, rendering them affirmatively useless.
On the eve of the successful resistance war of Dublin against the forces of the United Kingdom he founded one of the initial post-wipe Political Parties. He named it the Popular Liberation Front, later reforming it into the Fenian Brotherhood by January 2011. He served several times here as Party President, in Congress, and was Minister of State to CelticTiger211's Administration. He gained some name recognition during these months, and was communicating heavily with his peers. He left the IDF entirely when the IDF was merged with a Political entity to form the Irish Army. He simply refused to align himself with what he deemed a Politicization of the National Military. He thusly ran two back-to-back and marginally close campaigns for Taoiseach in February and March, his initial aims were to rein in spending on this project, or failing that to successfully establish better transparency with budgeting for the Project.
Stand in Head of State
In March during the Impeachment of 05637716, he was given the authority of President. Some in Congress stalled the process of Impeachment, even though the former President had clearly indicated the transition and ulterior reasoning for his absence. The result was an air of illegitimacy to what Ariovistus Campaigned for, and a potential illegitimacy with Ireland's foreign affairs, the recent Membership with EDEN.
He wasn't Country President but for approximately two weeks, but he did pierce the Media which was all but void of Administration News, from day one. He replaced two non-communicative members of Digits cabinet with two he thought needed a feel for office. A group of dubious British, let into the nation progressively by members of last Novembers "rebellion", were continuing to harass the Country internally. He locked the Dáil forum, weeded out the mole account personally, and communicated via IRC instead.
There was a communication error during his long hours in EDEN HQ channels that resulted in a failed Alliance Law in regards to Romania, it was of no consequence as no currency was burned in the process, but it was immediately politicized in Ireland. Largely he continued or maintained all of Digit's Campaign Goals, some of Digit's personal communications, aims, and reasons for leaving during and after the Impeachment were not readily acted upon.
So, Ariovistus carried out peaceful deliberations with nearly everyone during this time. The squirrelly Mr Woldy even contacted him about setting up a preplanned faux-pas Training War, which Ariovistus immediately rejected due to his personal experiences that war is of necessity, not out of courteousness. Regardless, the Political elements that drove Ariovistus away from Army membership decided his term was their calling. They disobeyed all Executive Orders given during the Anglo-Belgian conflict, taking up the brand again and leaving the Irish Army, but that was long after they had banned Ariovistus out of IA Communication channels.
After his term he looked forward to growing his Political Party by taking a back seat, operating as a guide on its forums, and just socializing. But that was not to be, because in March the Feinian Brotherhood was taken over by foreign Party Members in support of Irish Army leader Seanan. Ariovistus did not miss their point, and left Ireland his mind made up to join the throngs of other Irish Citizens to have already fled the land.
In the USA
Ariovistus traveled to the USA, largely guided from previous deliberations with Emerick while he was President, out-going President, and short lived Irish Ambassador to the US. When he became a citizen on April 10th, 2011; he was approached by many Military recruiters, having no knowledge of the JCS/President divide occurring as he was previously too busy to look at much foreign press as a President.
He decided to join the newly formed United States Armed Forces, and participated in Defensive Operations against ONE. Due to his stats and previous history he was one of the first to enter into a newly formed ‘Special Forces’ division, primarily a hard hitting and highly active mobile force. Here he met a lot of people, from many Nations and backgrounds in eRepublik. To keep it short he met and learned to work with Special Forces Leadership such as xDavidx, Kell Draygo, Liquid Oxygen, Joe DaSmoe, TTi09, enderaggie, Pdeb, Gnilraps, s0beit, and memorable others of course. Ariovistus, having already made Platoon Leader inconsequentially, was astonished a few weeks in when gold began to be dispersed to Unit Members, this was his very first time to receive gold to fight with (government funded 'Tanking' was practically unknown to the IDF, unless of course they stole it of course, a.k.a. the OJ affair).
In June, during the escalating conflict he was chosen as Euro Company Commander in the Special Forces. The United States, even with Allied support, couldn't effectively quell a large scale Spanish invasion of the interior. After a short time Spain called for support from all of her opportune Allies, in timely manner Poland, Indonesia, and Hungary made their advances known during and after Mid-June 2011.
On June 30th 2011 Indonesia took the last remaining region of the USA, Hawaii, wiping the USA for a short time from the map. At the same time Brazil and several remaining Terra allies were also hard pressed. Serbia, during their Campaigns in China, gained a short lived boarder with the United States and invaded in earnest to capture Texas. After continuing to fight in localized Resistance, Ariovistus started a successful rebellion in Hawaii. On August 6th, Ariovistus accepted to become an Executive Officer for the Special Forces branch. Things were fast paced and heavy throughout this Leadership position as one would imagine, somewhere in this mix he also received a Resistance Hero Medal in Maryland, by that time though the RW rules had changed.
Retirement to Meta
In early September, Ariovistus retired from the Special Forces Leadership, taking on all the duties reserved for a retired Senior Officer. He continued as a soldier but cut back his activity somewhat, he had gone from General Rank to World Class Force Rank exceedingly fast. America had all its Native soil at this point, and Politics seemed experimental to him after he observed it long enough.
He was a member of the Libertarian Party. He socialized with his peers mostly, after a brief excursion to Ireland, he returned committed to the Party. Again, like the aforementioned Gold Tanking, he was astonished at the wealth and depth. He was surprised at the rate by which he was received. With his Party's support he gained two back-to-back seats in the US Congress, but nearing the end of his second term he began to see his Party falling out of activity. Voluntarily it reemerged as U.S. Marijuana Party, containing some elements of the previous leadership potential.
Regardless, he had become more aware of Dioism during November and December 2011. Dioism was the official eReligion of the USA having been announced by then President Woxan in 2010. He began to delve into and welcome the Meta-game. He joined the Stardust Crusaders of the USA, at the behest of The Libertine, when it was established by Athanaric amongst others.
Through January and February he served two back-to-back appointments as Deputy Speaker of the House, 50th and 51st Congress respectively. By February he began to practice Dioism, referring to himself as such, though he had not undergone any formal Virginization during his lifetime.
Return to Ireland
On April 1st 2012, Ariovistus returned to Ireland to participate and aide the Galloglass, a Military Unit he helped to create in Early 2011.
Government
Ariovistus was a two time Deputy in the Ministry of New Citizens, one time Minister to the Department of State, and once due to impeachment held the President duty in Ireland. He has been a Deputy Secretary of Defense in the USA.
