Hassan Pesaran joined the New World with a group of friends from the gaming clan "Tactical Warfare", who then went on to form the party "We are the Borg" for something to do within Erepublik. Hassan, however, begun a career in journalism by forming the , which has become the 6th most subscribed newspaper in the UK to date. When Hassan won the Party elections, he renamed it The Unity Post, with 68 subscribers.
Rather than joining permanently with his friends at "We Are the Borg", Hassan decided to join the much maligned Party Leader Alain Bates in the Unity Party, to help improve upon their viability and policy stature. Along with another newcomer, Squiddy, they have greatly improved upon the Unity Party's standing in the UK, as well as their member base.
Hassan Wins Party Elections
After a month serving as Party President, Alain Bates decided not to run for another term. Hassan stepped up and announced his candidacy, and was overwhelmingly accepted as the new Party Leader.
Hassan has begun to implement things he had promised in his manifesto, with The Unity Party (TUP) Council and has created a strong sense of community within the TUP members. Along with the runner up of the last Party Elections, malta_1990, TUP did surprisingly well in the local elections, winning 5 Mayoral seats.
British Political Takeover of the Czech Republic
In July 2009 unbeknownst to either his congress or cabinet, Czech Republic Country President Radim, asked the United Kingdom for help in order to help prevent another Hungarian PTO attempt. In response elements of the Parachute Regiment (Paras) were mobilised to aid in Anti (Political) Takeover (ATO) efforts during congressional elections.
However, the Paras were secretly briefed by Prime Minister Hassan Pesaran to conduct their own PTO of the Czech congress, and once voted into congress failed to Impeach Radim and stole numerous national currencies from the country’s treasury.
After the event both the people of the Czech Republic and many in Britain were appalled at their actions, and the UK government later apologized and returned the money.

Return to politics
In the new year Hassan served as Minister of Finance and then Minister of Defence, to which he was better suited. For long months he served in this role, and the role of Minister of Defence and Foreign Affairs under a number of Presidents. He developed a close relationship with Kumnaa and the two of them worked together closely throughout the former's term as President.
Hassan returned from his tenure as a member of the Liberal Social Democrats party, which had failed. Back in The Unity Party he requested and gained the party's blessing to run as President. With some difficulty he convinced PCP members to back him, and along with the ailing Movement for Democratic Unity the Yellow Submarine Coalition was reformed.
Hassan ran for election against Dishmcds, a 2 time President, firebrand and undoubted King of the United Kingdom Reform Party. Although many questioned his chances, with the backing of the PCP and the TUP he won with a comfortable margin.
Hassan has had a long and illustrious career, starting as a reserve, working his way up to the Paratrooper special forces unit, to Minister of Defence and finally Supreme Commander of ATLANTIS. He was in the Royal Guard
Before the Hassan Pesaran Presidencies in 2009, the UK army was mainly comprised of volunteer regiments. As such, there was no regular supply, IRC elites or other common features of the current armed forces model. In July/August of 2009, the government nationalised the armed forces, bringing 90% of all soldiers into government owned companies and beginning to supply based on the weapons commune model created by TUP. The changes resulted in a huge increase in damage, and the model was later copied by units and governments from all over the world. As a result of this nationalisation, at its peak the government employed almost one third (400-600) of the UK workforce
In early June 2009 a region swap deal, under the premise of a training war, was struck between Prime Minister Hassan Pesaran, and Hungary. For a period of four weeks starting on June 11th Hungary occupied Scotland. This gave the PEACE nation a border with the Fortis nation of Canada and EDEN state Norway, and despite promises that Scotland would not be used by Hungary toward an invasion of Canada, the United States and Ireland saw this as nothing but a betrayal. Both countries started persistent criticising of the still pro-American British public and calling for the Prime Minister’s impeachment. Public opinion quickly turned to favour what had been up until then an unpopular move.
Hassan Pesaran was awarded British Academy Awards for Journalism in October 2008.
