Jazar was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He was part of a group of new users in the Netherlands that arrived via an internet forum called Gathering of Tweakers. Jazar quickly became an active citizen, both politically as well as in the media. He achieved a place in congress multiple times, as well as being elected as mayor of Amsterdam before giving other players the opportunity to become a mayor.

Testing, hacking and quitting
Jazar was the only eDutch user allowed to test Version 1 of eRepublik before it went live. He was happy to be granted this opportunity, but less happy with being hacked as what was most likely the result of an unsecure testing environment. Together with a large group of other V1 testers his account was hacked. The hacker killed his account, resulting in 0 wellness, and tried to transfer his money through the Monetary Market (but his money was saved by his friends Osxy and Kixtart!). Being fed up with slow admin responses, bugs and in his opinion bad and unwanted changes in the gameplay, Jazar decided to quit the game.
Return
However, Jazar didn't totally give up on visiting the IRC channel and sometimes taking a look at the eDutch forums. After all, even though the game had its many flaws at the time, the community was still great! Therefore he decided to return in November 2008.
