Matthieu Bonne is a citizen and politician from France. He is best known for his role in diplomacy for France and PEACE. See his statement in Témoignages. Matthieu was one of three winners of the Be My eRepublik Valentine contest.
Politics
Three days after joining the New World, he was named Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France, trained and coached by niouton and num. When niouton became President of France the next month (september 2008), he was chosen as Minister of Foreign Affairs and played an active role in the formation of PEACE; he founded PEACE's forum and succeeded to Nicolae Carpathia as PEACE's Secretary General in november of the same year.
He lost the presidency election of october, having the same number of votes as Ph03n1x. During this month he contributed, with fellow members of his party, to the creation of France's recruitment portal and French wiki.
He won the presidency election of november with more than 50% votes and announced his governement two days later, having mafleur24, ulysse, jul76 and niouton as core ministers.
In december, as the president Elvea wasn't really prepared to a full-scale war, Matthieu (officially MoFA again) was in charge of the defense of France during the second world war, also called "Operation French Toast". He was especially alone to manage the country during the end-year holidays, only helped by the future Commander of the French Légion Etrangère, Kirill Nowakovski.
During these three weeks of intense fighting, hours-long strategic meetings and massive logistics planning, he tightened his links with several citizens and leaders all over the New World. Among them, many italians (bisiacco, mappina, vegaicm, rhevard, laguna...), indonesians (n3m0, rikwandi, NicoSianipar), and PEACE active members (Bimba, zocky, Arthk, GladDOS, Trichoplax).
In january, under his friend ulysse's presidency, he served again as MoFA, and resigned from PEACE SG's job. He definitely wanted a break ! In february, with Papa Frantz as head of the government, he offered his help as Minister of Economy to manage a much-needed tax reform, and set up a protectionist system to partly preserve the wood sector in France from massive swedish and spanish investments.
In march, droopy32 was president, and Matthieu served as Ministry of Defense, with many important cases to handle: the creation of a training platoon for young french soldiers, the signing of several contracts between private companies and the state to ensure a better supplying for the Legion, a better planning of the Legion's daily costs to improve its efficiency...
He hopes to work next month on a massive recruitment campaign, if the future president accepts his help of course ^^
Economy
Matthieu Bonne is one of the six founding members of I Feel Wood, a leading wood company in France created in october 2008 that grew very fast. Several more companies were built within this group (later called "SuperSO6"): I Share Wood, IFW's top-quality sister-company; On the Wood Again, IFW's Q3 clone; Gueule de Bois, also Q3 wood, but owned at 50% by four former employees of I Feel Wood. The group also owns SO6 fraiches (Q4 food) and Chair a SO6 (Q2 weapons in Finland). There was also a housing company, Shack Your Body (Q3), that was finally sold to Theocrats when they took the power in Switzerland.
Matthieu is also co-owner of Moulins (Q3 grain in Hungary, 50/50 with Alice F), Katana Kelamour (Q3 weapons in Hungary, 50/50 with niouton), and he is the only owner of Six troncs presses (Q2 wood) and ChocoCadeau (Q2 gifts) in France.
Finally, he has parts in the Millenium group, and he inherited of a third of the Only Company consortium at the death of Lyroboss, as long as his friends Kirill Nowakovski and gg_tk.
If you add to this the daily management of the public french companies (DGA, Ecole Manufacturiere de France, Parpaings...), he's definitely a busy manager.
Military
Matthieu Bonne started fighting in december, when France got invaded by Atlantis. He joined the Légion Etrangère at this time, and since then kept doing his daily fights for the good of France and PEACE. He ranked relatively quickly, without wellness packs, with the help of PEACE countries and burning 30 GOLD from his own pockets in the defense of Western Siberia against hordes of romanian tanks in march 2008.
He is currently Field Marshall, and among the 10 best soldiers in France despite his relative youth.
