A journalist is a person who practices journalism, the gathering and dissemination of information about current events, trends, issues, and people while striving for a non-bias viewpoint. Journalists in eRepublik may be executive editors of their own newspaper or write pieces for other newspapers.
Reporter
A reporter is a type of journalist who researches and presents information in certain types of mass media. Reporters gather their information on eRepublik in a variety of ways, including tips, press releases, sources (individuals with newsworthy information) and witnessing events. They perform research through interviews, public records, and other sources. The information-gathering part of the job is sometimes called "reporting" as distinct from the production part of the job, such as writing articles.
Journalist missions
There are two unique missions related to journalists:
- Junior Journalist; write an article that receives comments from at least 25 citizens.
- Senior Journalist; write three articles that receive comments from at least 25 citizens.
