First Congressional elections in Icon-Estonia.png Estonia were held in May of 2009. Congress was previously very divided as in past, Estonia has had numerous political parties all vying for control. In late 2010, due to restructuring and dissolving of several large political entities, only 2 parties remain.

Congress members

Typically most famous Estonian politicians, soldiers, and businessman count themselves among Congress' ranks. While over time the power distribution between members has changed, seven Estonians have remained in congress for 10 or more terms (More than half of all Congressional Terms in Estonian history. These members are Teodor Ant, EstMX, Krist0, ilakott, Enrii Lindebaum, etc_Marc, and Rafterman. etc_Marc holds the records for most terms in Congress with 18, followed by Rafterman and ilakott tied with 14.

Speakers of Congress

Beginning in June 2009, a Speaker of Congress was elected for every new term. This position primarily leads to the responsibility of representing congress in the public. Supporting those roles is the Vice-Speaker, who similarly represents congress and acts in cases that the primary Speaker can not. The roles are usually appointed by the acting President with general opinion coming from all acting Congress members.

Many future presidents began their political career as a Speaker of Congress or Vice-Speaker. 6 Presidents of Estonia have spent time as Speaker of Congress (Albertti, Krist0, Angst Winterblest, S33vald, Elari Reili and Sim Maatriks). Elari Reili and Sim Maatriks are the only presidents who have not spent one or more terms as a Vice-Speaker.

In June of 2010 the concept and responsibilities of a Speaker of Congress were downgraded, though some members of Congress still regularly take it upon themselves to represent the acting Congressional body.

The following is a list of Speakers and Vice Speakers of Congress:
