+
Eire Aonair is a political party of Ireland. It was founded on March 17th 2011.

According to the constitution of Eire Aonair , this party is intended to stand for adherence to values rather than political views. It is designed to accommodate members of broad ideologies and beliefs so that they can share a common character of principles and serve a sovereign Ireland.
+
This party is centred around individual freedom, value politics, but also a sovereign country.

Communications
Eire Aonair was founded on March 17, 2011 at 7:30 (eRep time) by Ian E Coleman . It was created as a brand new party with no official ties to previous political parties. At the time of the party's creation Ireland already had many parties (see political party history here). It was one of the main worries that the creation of the party would over-saturate Ireland's political environment. Because Ireland was a small nation in population (see population history here) only a certain number of parties could co-exist practically. Despite this, the party was created out of a belief that it could do good for Ireland.

Eire Aonair communicates using in-game resources (articles, group private messages & live feed).

With in the first six days in the public Eire Aonair had eight members in total. The forum and discussion within the party had already become successful and a special sub-faction, The Moynihan Group, had formed.

Charter
 +
Since March 2016, the Eire Aonair Charter has replaced the former constitution on the initiative of party president Martinho69 and his cabinet. The charter limits the PP's powers and mentions the member's responsibilities within the party.

In April 2011 Eire Aonair reached a membership high of 16 members. Party President Ian E Coleman neglected to run for a second month, allowing Goku Jones to join the party and run uncontested, winning the elections. Because of a glitch in the game Goku Jones only became Party President on April 18. During this three day delay relations between Goku Jones and the rest of Eire Aonair broke down. Goku was a former British citizen allowed into the country by a member of the Bremen Clubhouse , this meant that the other party members saw him as a political takeover attempt.

Preamble
 +
"Eire Aonair’s purpose is to serve Ireland by creating a united and diverse community. It aims at ensuring a sovereign democratic country based on the national devotion of citizens, loyal in their operations first and foremost to Ireland."

His first act after becoming Party President was to rename the party The Bremen Clubhouse and merge it with the organization of the same name, causing the party to grow over the 20 member mark and become a top 5 party. This new version of the party failed to represent the members of the original Eire Aonair, who continued under the Eire Aonair name but without an in game party.
+
Fundamental principles
 +
The first section of the Charter mentions every aspect of Eire Aonair identity. Also it officially includes Gaelic as one of the two languages the members can speak in the common threads, exhilarating the Irish national identity the party embodies.

Community values
In May 2011 Eire Aonair continued to exist underground for the first part of the month. During this time new party documents were created and voted on, including a party stance bill regarding Northern Ireland. On the 15th of May Ian E  Coleman was once more elected Party President, uncontested. By the 16th of May the party was once again called Eire Aonair. During this month the party announced a new organization called the EA Advisory Group . This new organization represented Eire Aonair by behaving as a shadow cabinet that would look at various issues from the point of view of Ireland's government. The first departments included Finance, Defence, Foreign Affairs, and Community .
+
Mentions the role every cabinet member has toward the party, as well as the fact that every member who yearns for responsibilities in the community must remain active to show people that he or her deserves it.

June 2011
+
The Party Parliament
This month began with the creation of The Black Buck Initiative. This organization was created in order to collect intelligence on political and military foreign threats to Ireland. During the initiatives creation, Donnzer, who initiated the creation of the group, focussed heavily on the ethical handling of sensitive information. Discussions centred around ensuring unbiased information and the avoidance of the initiative becoming a political tool were paramount. Eire Aonair also enjoyed a boost in membership during this month with Eire Aonair breaking into the top five parties and reaching around 30 members. Much of this was due to the increased presence of The Bremen Clubhouse, but new real growth also occurred thanks to recruitment work done by Ulaidian in the previous month. On June 15 Ian E Coleman was once again elected party president with 14/16 votes (87.5%). At this time party membership was around 21 (not including known PTOers).
+
The key point of the party's "Renewal" (as the author of the Charter calls it), was to create a parliament that limits the PP's powers thanks to member's vote. Also, it provides the members the unique capacity to impeach the Party President in case of he or her might represent a threat for liberty.

Before the congress elections Eire Aonair releases a party article describing the work of the EA Advisory Group in the field of improving commune efficiency. The study reveals that by buying cheap primary goods instead of manufacturing them yourself you can improve commune efficiency by more than 40% with Q5 companies. The article is well received by the public and interest is shown by the Irish Army.
+
Democratic Shield
+
The last section called "Democratic shield" aims at, in a same manner, giving the members a right to remove the Party President from office if he or her does not respect the principles of the Charter. The article exactly goes : "If the Party President do not dare to comply with the principles of the Charter without referring the Party Parliament first, Eire Aonair members are allowed to take all measures they might consider necessary in order to remove him from office."
Only days before June 25 (congress elections) Eire Aonair loses enough members that they lose their top 5 party position. There is no apparent reason for the loss in members and as far as is known it was caused by a glitch when Ireland was completely wiped by the UK around the same time. Because of this, still more members of Eire Aonair are forced to run for congress with other parties such as the Irish Union Party or Irish Independent Party who volunteer running openings. Unfortunately during this month Ireland is unable to regain a region before the 25th, and so no elections take place and Ireland is left with no congress.

Politics
Now seriously depleted of members to the point of being in sixth place as an Irish political party, many of Eire Aonair's valuable members seem to go inactive. These members may have either been a part of the initial wave to membership loss, or left when they went to other parties to run for congress. It is hoped that once these members return to the game they will come back to the party. Some of the inactivity may be due to it being prime vacation time in the real world.
+
Eire Aonair's principle political values are outlined in their constitution. Additional political stances are decided democratically by the members of the party through a process of proposal and voting. Stances can also be reversed, replaced, or amended through a voting process outlined in section one of each stance. These stances are not partisan commitments, but represent the interests that should be protected by the party's leader in representing the members.

On July 15, 2011 D-Glennon was elected the new Party President of Eire Aonair. Ian E Coleman had decided not to run that month, and had expressed his full confidence and support for D-Glennon. Glennon would win the election with 5 votes (83.33%). He was faced with the task of maintaining the party through a difficult time when membership and activity were being tested by political events and real life timing.
+
Northern Ireland
 +
In May of 2011 Eire Aonair passed its official stance on the territory of Northern Ireland in eRepublik. The stance outlines that Northern Ireland is legitimately an original territory of the UK where Ireland is defined as the Republic of Ireland rather than the island. This conclusion is drawn in response to ideas of a United Ireland that come from real life history. The stance goes on to say that despite this conclusion, Northern Ireland is still a natural target for Ireland's military since the other two of Ireland's neighbours are historical in-game allies, and Northern Ireland is a border region with Ireland. This stance supports a strategic view of Northern Ireland rather than a fanatical one.

Later in July an article published on behalf of Eire Aonair, Eire Aonair Test Run Company Project: A More Efficient Commune, won the award for Article of the Month in June 2011. +
Democratic Practices
 +
In September of 2011 a new official stance was passed by Eire Aonair outlining the democratic expectations of the party for Ireland. The document supports a discrimination free democracy where loyal citizens are encouraged to vote without being under duress or authoritative instruction. It also makes comments on the ideals of logical debate rather than rhetoric or pure propaganda. In addition, the conditions of party support are outlined stating that, "(the) official political support of Eire Aonair for a political candidate does not represent a guaranteed vote from all of the party's members."

Under D-Glennon's leadership the party manages to grow back to around 20 members. D-Glennon initiates improved communication with in the party by putting the newly implemented multi-player private messages to good use. By including all interested party members in the private message discussion, the party makes important matters more access able to two clickers. At the same time, through his suggestion joey millz initiates the creation of an Eire Aonair Department of Recruitment. The new department aims to help generate interest and gain new members for the party. Initial elections for Department Head of Recruitment result in a three way tie between joey millz, seanlynch, and MikeBane. The department then progresses under the cooperative leadership of all three tied candidates.
+
External Candidates
 +
In August of 2013 a new policy was enacted in order to provide political opportunities to members of political parties which are not in the top five. Within this document would-be candidates with Eire Aonair who are loyal and active to alternative eIrish political parties are described as "external candidates". Under this policy the discretion of Eire Aonair's leadership is required in determining which external candidates are suitable to participate in this new policy. The reasoning behind this stance, which was voted into effect by the members of Eire Aonair, is to lend a voice to political minorities who would otherwise be unable to find representation in Dail, in the same way that Eire Aonair benefitted from the good will of many top 5 political parties when it was such a minority. It was determined that such a policy was necessary  because of the complications presented by the new congress election system, where political parties are voted for rather than candidates. In an effort to take into account the effects of this change the following rules are instated with regard to external candidates:

August 2011
+
1. A maximum of two external candidates may be permitted willful priority by the party president of Eire Aonair.
During August Eire Aonair is also pulled to the centre of political controversy when a member of Eire Aonair, MrConwayTwitty publishes IRC logs which contain discussion of an attempt by prominent Irish citizens to PTO Eire Aonair. The issue is made more controversial by the fact that members of the current Irish administration, including at the time Country President Irish_Rebel_Reborn, are the once having the discussion. The logs are dismissed by many as usual antics for Irish_Rebel_Reborn, a well known Irish troll, and his company, and it is doubted wether the logs represent a genuine intention to cary out a civil political take over attempt. The targeting of of Eire Aonair would seem to have been more due to an attempt to troll Stranger Here Myself, who had been outspoken in his dissent against the current administration due to past political abuse, rather than an attack against Eire Aonair.
+
2. No external candidate shall be appointed by the party president a top five spot above any proven member of Eire Aonair.

During this time Stranger Here Myself's accusations against many in the Irish community creates conflict within Ireland and Eire Aonair, but the party stands by its member's rights to free speech and political dissent. The prospect of a civil political take over attempt against Eire Aonair is taken seriously by the party given past encounters with The Bremen Clubhouse which gave the party experience in the dangers of political warfare.
+
Within the bounds of these rules the priority of external candidates will be determined in the same way as all other candidates, through the rankings provided by Eire Aonair's leadership board (party president, vice president, secretary general, councillor, and spokesman).

On August 8, Stranger Here Myself establishes a new Eire Aonair Organization called the Radical Wing - Democrats. The new organization is dedicated to being a means of political struggle against corruption and crime. Around the middle of the month Stranger Here Myself creates a new Group Joint Investment Scheme with the Moynihan Group, modelled after similar work done in Hungary. The new project operates by allowing a group of investors to found Q4 companies in a short period of time through a system of group payments.
+
Members
 +
Eire Aonair has been home to many players of various real life and in game backgrounds ranging from anarcho-capitalists to socialists. Dominantly Eire Aonair's members communicate in english and endorse an Irish cultural foundation.

On August 16, D-Glennon is confirmed as the party president of Eire Aonair for August. He continues his work from last month with 12 votes (75.00%).
+
{|class="wikitable collapsible collapsed" style="text-align:center"

+
On August 25, Eire Aonair is a top five party during Dail elections for the first time ever. In addition, Ireland has all of its original regions plus Northern Ireland. In these conditions Eire Aonair does very well and all but two of its ten candidates are elected to Dail. Stranger Here Myself, Ian E Coleman, Sir Adriano Prette, seanlynch, John Snuggles and MikeBane win as official candidates. Viktor Kurgan (despite campaigning not to be elected ) and S1lv3r k1d are elected as wildcards. On this same day Stranger Here Myself leaves Eire Aonair because of King Connell being allowed membership to the party.
+

+
September 2011
+
In early September Eire Aonair's project of creating a military unit is realized when agreements with Bassy finally come into fruition. Bassy donates his military unit, once called Troid na hEireann Arm, to the newly formed E.A.M.U. to be used as its military unit. For his great contribution to the party and the E.A.M.U. project, Bassy is made the first Chief Command Officer of the new unit. New uniforms and a constitution are made public and recruitment begins.
+

+
At this same time Eire Aonair's Joint Investment Project is continuing with considerable success. The remaining participants (Patrick O'Leary, Connor H, Stranger Here Myself, John Gormley, Sir Adriano Prette, joey millz, D-Glennon, and Ian E Coleman) continue to make contributions, and by the end of the month four Q4 companies are already constructed.
+

+
Throughout the month of September MikeBane would be very proactive in his preparations to campaign for October CP elections. He released several articles asking for community input and building a strong cabinet. , , , , , . MikeBane would run with Eire Aonair and would have several of the party's members in his cabinet.
+

+
On September 15, D-Glennon is elected the Party President of Eire Aonair for the third month in a row with 11 votes and 68.75% of the total.
+

+
On September 25, seven of Eire Aonair's 10 congress candidates are elected to Irish Dail. joey millz, Sir Adriano Prette, Donnzer, Bassy, Viktor Kurgan, and JohNandJoaN are all elected as official candidates, and Artaxerxes Pavonis is elected in as a Wild Card.
+

+
October 2011
+
October begins with the foundation of a new organization called the Irish Social Front. JohNandJoaN (aka. MrConwayTwitty) is the founder and he sets out the goals to encourage the publishing of Irish articles, improve communications between Irish citizens, introduce new citizens to the community, educate new members, promote the Irish IRC channel, create a new sense of community by running lotteries, competitions etc.
+

+
Eire Aonair also takes action to streamline its organizations this month, dissolving the Moynihan Group into a new more broad Eire Aonair Financial Institute (including banking, financial projects, and discussion), removing the innactive EA Advisory Council, and introducing improved Military Unit and Commune groups.
+

+
On October 15, MikeBane is elected as the Party President of Eire Aonair. It is a close elections with MikeBane receiving 9 votes, jefflav receiving 7, and JohNandJoaN receiving 5.
+

+
November 2011
+
November of 2011 was a difficult month for Eire Aonair. After being elected to Party President, MikeBane was met with resistance following his decisions to change elements of the parties public image. Many of MikeBanes changes reflected his famous ego - changing the name and description of the party to focus on his leadership. Bane also opted to redesign elements of the Eire Aonair logo, compromising the black raven for a red star.
+

+
These changes were met by resistance by the core members of Eire Aonair.  Although purely cosmetic, the focus of party image on MikeBane's leadership was seen as a contradiction to the party's values for group leadership, democratically focus decision making, and teamwork. The red star added to the party's logo was seen as a symbol for the political left, and many Eire Aonair members were unhappy with the abolishment of the raven, which had been an important symbol of the party since its foundation nine months ago.
+

+
Following the large amount of negative feedback regarding his changes, MikeBane decided to undo the changes he had made and to apologize to the party. He did promise not to make any such changes again without consulting the members of the party first.
+

+
Despite MikeBane reverting his changes as party president, some members of Eire Aonair remained unsatisfied with MikeBane's leadership. Following a damaging article from a fellow member of Eire Aonair regarding his actions during the term, MikeBane would resign from the position of Party President. The article in question presented MikeBane as a political takeover leader and self-absorbed dictator, despite being published after an apology by MikeBane and the reversion of the changes that were objected to. According to the founder of Eire Aonair, Ian E Coleman "I believe that (the controversial actions of Mike) (were) an honest mistake - rather than a PTO which I think of as a malicious and conscious attack."
+

+
Constitution
+
A copy of Eire Aonair's constitution can be found of their forum here The constitution outlines the most fundamental principles and operations of the party, and is designed to express the basic purpose of the party and it's place in Ireland's politics.
+

+
Eire Aonair's Constitution is divided into eight sections seen here:
+

+
Principles
+
This section describes the purpose and permanence of the parties constitution. The constitution is not intended to be revised as it describes the core principles and values of the party. This section also identifies the four basic founding values of Eire Aonair:
+

+
1. Community <br>
+
2. Individual Responsibility <br>
+
3. Fair Play/Respect <br>
+
4. Principles Over Politics <br>
+

+
A Party  for Ireland
+
This section outlines the intention of the party to serve Ireland by creating a united and diverse community. It states that the party is here to ensure a sovereign eIreland, with a free government of citizens loyal in their operations first and foremost to Ireland.
+

+
Independent Thought
+
This section outlines the parties views on the values of independent thought and free speech. According to the constitution of Eire Aonair, the party promotes open mindedness and willingness to consider all views rationally and with due respect.
+

+
This section states that Eire Aonair encourages the practice of providing well supported arguments and asking the public to think for themselves. This is linked by the document to a favouritism for honest public discussion, and for the minimization of partisan politics and propaganda techniques.
+

+
Eire Aonair is not technically an independent party. The constitution makes this clear, but also states that free thought is a virtue, and that although the party will use its name to support ideas it believes in, it will also allow the alternative views of its members to be heard and encouraged. Eire Aonair also supports, through its constitution, the practice of voting based on the individual merit of candidates rather than on parties alone.
+

+
The Values Concept
+
This section states that Eire Aonair was founded with the purpose of creating a party that stood for adherence to values rather than to political views, the idea being that people of opposite ideological ideals can cooperate under a common character of underlying values. It states that members should possess an understanding and desire to embody values such as honesty, integrety, consideration, hard work, rational thought, fair play, accountability, open mindedness, and respect.
+

+
The constitution states, that while Eire Aonair believes that voters should never vote based on party alone, voters are encouraged to consider the values that a candidate endorses by being a member of Eire Aonair.
+

+
Personal Responsibility
+
This section outlines the responsibilities that Eire Aonair expects its members to pay respect to. It states the view that responsibilities are optional for players of eRepublik, but that because of the effect that neglecting these responsibilities can have on other players and their ability to have fun, responsibilities should be taken seriously.
+

+
These sections are described by the constitution as strong guidelines rather than rules, and positions such as a worker, owner, voter, party president, congress member, cabinet member, country president, and private organization member, are addressed.
+

+
A Balance of Life
+
This section talks about the importance of players and Eire Aonair members, being able to have a real life. It states that the pursuit of a good real life, is to be seen as more important than the responsibilities taken on in the game.
+

+
This section adresses situations surrounding absence, and how it can sometimes be unavoidable that real life will remove a player from the game. It talks about the importance of taking on important responsibilities in moderation, and respecting players regardless of if they must be absent because of real life issues.
+

+
Religion
+
This section states that Eire Aonair is not associated with any religion, and is officially a secular party. It states that members of Eire Aonair are free to express or believe whatever they want, but that in principle Eire Aonair is against religious involvement in government.
+

+
Determining Party Stance
+
This last section describes the method Eire Aonair employs when developing new party stance. The constitution states that new stance should be created through discussion and adoption of rational stances through general agreement.
+

+
All new stances are required by the constitution to adhere to fundamental principles of the party which are outlined in the constitution itself. These stances are intended to be flexible and open to revision to adapt to changes in the game or new information. These stances relate to the parties position on current issues, unlike the constitution which holds true as long as Eire Aonair exists in any form.
+

Northern Ireland
+
On May 16 of 2011 Eire Aonair released a party approved stance on Northern Ireland. Key points in the document included a focus on community unity rather than geographical unity, a respect for the admin defined natural borders of regions, and a belief that Northern Ireland is a natural target for invasion do to game related factors.

{|class="wikitable collapsible collapsed" style="text-align:center"
In September of 2011 Eire Aonair founded a new military unit, E.A.M.U., which simply stands for "Eire Aonair's Military Unit". E.A.M.U. is a very open military unit, and an official constitution can be found of the party's forum.

Foundation
 +
Eire Aonair's name and symbol (the raven) were inspired by the influences of Eire Aontaithe and its founder Wandering Rian. Eire Aonair was founded on March 17, 2011 by Ian E Coleman. This was after the complete wipe of eIreland in December 2010 that had removed all of eIreland's previous political parties - an event that forced the nation to start over from scratch. Three months after this event, the political scene of eIreland was saturated with new political parties. The high saturation of eIreland's political scene explains the slow growth of the party and much of the continued difficulties that would be faced in the future.
 +

 +
Eire Aonair was founded as a freethinking semi-partisan party - a party driven by principles rather than political ideology that would look for the best ideas from every corner of the political scene. The party would encourage free speech, constructive debate, and smart gameplay. As shown by Eire Aonair's constitution, strong emphasis was placed on the welfare of gamers, encouraging a healthy and supportive community and a balance between gaming and real life.

Early History
 +
Bremen Clubhouse
 +
Due to timing, shortly after the foundation of Eire Aonair, the party came under attacks from the Bremen Clubhouse, a group of hostile British political take-over agents. At the time Ireland and the UK were continuing their long and heated war with each other. After falling under the control of hostile efforts, Eire Aonair was able to exist underground for one month. In the following month genuine members were able to regain control. During this same time, all of eIreland was engaged in a strategic Anti-takeover effort to avoid giving congress seats to hostile take-over agents - Eire Aonair played an important role in ensuring the success of these efforts.
 +

 +
Early Efforts
 +
Eire Aonair and its members have headed many breakthrough projects ranging from economic to military matters. The first member to create a project was Stranger Here Myself who developed The Moynihan Group as an economic think tank. Stranger Here Myself's work and ideas would later lead to award winning projects and in-depth economic discussion.
 +

 +
In June of 2011 Eire Aonair's Donnzer worked with the party to develop the The Black Buck Initiative. This initiative was designed to collect military intelligence and was later re-calibrated to collect information and statistics for analysis.
 +

 +
In late July of 2011 an article published on behalf of Eire Aonair, , won the award for Article of the Month in June 2011e. This project was the collaborative effort of many members and involved active experimentation and economic study to increase the efficiency of military communes. The project concluded that by using a purchased based model (rather than a production version) efficiency could be improved by more than 40%. The new model was the brainchild of EA economist Stranger Here Myself. sir adriano prette ran the practical research and analysis for the project, including the management of the company and the calculations of efficiency comparisons
 +

 +
Also in July 2011, the party took large steps to improve internal communication under the guidance D-Glennon. This coincided with admin changes to ingame communications that allowed for a shout feed and conference private messages. At the same time, through his suggestion citizen initiates the creation of an Eire Aonair Department of Recruitment. The new department aims to help generate interest and gain new members for the party.
 +

 +
JIG and EAMU
 +
Around the middle of August 2011 Stranger Here Myself creates a new Group Joint Investment Scheme with the Moynihan Group, modelled after similar work done in Hungary. The new project operates by allowing a group of investors to found Q4 companies in a short period of time through a system of group payments.
 +

 +
By September article is continuing with considerable success. The remaining participants (Patrick O'leary, Connor H, Stranger Here Myself, John Gormley, sir adriano prette, citizen, D-Glennon, and Ian E Coleman) continue to make contributions, and by the end of the month four Q4 companies are already constructed. This project would end a success, with all of the participants benefiting. At this same time Eire Aonair's project of creating a military unit is realized when agreements with citizen finally come into fruition. Bassy donates his military unit, once called Troid na hEireann Arm, to the newly formed E.A.M.U. to be used as its military unit. For his great contribution to the party and the E.A.M.U. project, Bassy become the first Chief Command Officer of the new unit. New uniforms and a constitution are made public and recruitment begins. This MU is later discontinued due to supply problems, only to be re-opened in the summer of 2012. Later EAMU was disbanded again in favour of supporting a central national military unit, Irish Army. With many successful innovations and ideas, EAMU becomes a model for a new more open Irish Army as EAMU soldiers join their central national force.

MikeBane
 +
November of 2011 was a difficult month for Eire Aonair. After being elected to Party President, MikeBane was met with resistance following his decisions to change elements of the party's public image. Many of MikeBanes changes reflected his famous ego - changing the name and description of the party to focus on his leadership. Bane also opted to redesign elements of the Eire Aonair logo, compromising the black raven for a red star.
 +

 +
These changes were met with resistance from the core members of Eire Aonair. Although purely cosmetic, the focus of party image on MikeBane's leadership was seen as a contradiction to the party's values for group leadership, democratically focused decision making, and teamwork.

 +

 +
After MikeBane's resignation, Bhane, a trusted friend of Eire Aonair and a loyal member of the Irish Union Party, took the temporary position of party president to protect the party during its transition. Later the Party President position was passed to Reactionist for the remainder of the term.
 +

 +
citizen Era
 +
On April 16, 2012 citizen was elected to lead Eire Aonair for the first time. It would be the first of five wins for Joey in the next six months, tying him with D-Glennon for the most times leading the party, and doing so in a convincingly consecutive fashion. As a loyal member of Eire Aonair, Joey lead as a conservative president - preserving the parties logo, forum, and description for the summer months. Joey's terms lasted from April 16, 2012 to September 2012, with the exception of the June elections which were won by MrConwayTwitty.
 +

 +
In September the admin introduced reforms to the political module, and falling activity lead to a decline in Eire Aonair's standing. The new political module introduced a system where party presidents prioritize congress candidates on a list and elections were determined by voting for each party, rather than the old system where each candidate could be voted for independently.

October 2012 Renewal
 +
On October 16, 2012 Ian E Coleman was elected to lead Eire Aonair for his fifth time. With his election he began a new recruiting campaign to replenish the party's waining numbers, and received the party's approval to institute a new party logo featuring a raven bearing an Irish harp. Below the party's name, Éire Aonair, the new logo features the words "Tabhair | Comhoibriú | Éiríonn" which means Give, Cooperate, Succeede. By mid-November, the party had grown to 18 members, and was only two members short of the top five where Independent Voices had 20.

Saoirse Merger
 +
On February 10, 2013, it was announced that Saoirse, the second largest political party at the time, would become a part of Éire Aonaire. To avoid a large amount of membership attrition, the members of Éire Aonair moved into the Saoirse party and the name and description of Saoirse were then changed to Éire Aonair's. This brought Éire Aonair from having less than 20 members and being out of the top five, to having more than 50 members and being the second place party. The effect of the merger was that all of the members of Saoirse had joined under the original constitution and legacy of the Éire Aonair. Saoirse and Éire Aonair had both been like minded and similar in their approaches to political philosophy in many ways before the merger. This merger removed significant pressure from the political scene in eIreland by bringing more of eIreland under the top five.
 +

 +
On February 15, 2013, Ian E Coleman, the founder of EA, was elected the first party president of the merged Éire Aonair. The merger had been negotiated under the party presidencies of citizen (Saoirse) and citizen (EA). For the first month the party was run to be run by a council with two members from each party - MUFC92 (Saoirse founder), citizen (last Saoirse president), citizen (president of EA for January '13), and sir adriano prette (long time member of EA). The merged Éire Aonair would go on to win their first Congress elections with the most total votes (50) and 11 (27.93%) elected congress representativese.
 +

 +
Becoming A Leader
 +
In the many months that would follow the Saoirse merger, Éire Aonair became a leading political force in eIreland. In March of 2013, the month after the merger, an Éire Aonair candidate was elected Country President, when MUFC92 won the elections with 40% of the vote. He would be re-elected the month following, and pave the way for an additional three elections of  ÉA canadidates in 2013, and five in 2014. By 2014 the party was secure as the number one party in membership, and boasted a high percentage of the voter turnouts during Dáil election times. Éire Aonair came to represent a powerful political faction who's members could turn elections, but who's support could only be earned by convincing members individually of the merit of a candidate or idea.
 +

 +
Daniel.Plainview
 +
One dark chapter in the history of Éire Aonair, was the betrayal of citizen. After gaining the trust of eIreland and Éire Aonair to the point where he was elected Country President in April of 2014, he would ultimately try to steal funds from the government and sabotage the nation before being impeached. In his first month, Daniel managed to gain the support of four other parties, including The Left Hand of Ireland, who were of significant size. He won with 62 votes and nearly 50% of the total support, against formidable opponents in Don Gomar and Mirek12345 who were both establish members of the community. Daniel himself had only been in eIreland for a number of months, but had won support and trust through his activity and positive involvement in the community. In fact, Daniel's first month went fairly smoothly, which allowed him to run and be elected for a second month in May. Unfortunately, this second month would not go smoothly, as Daniel.Plainview was impeached on the 16theLaw. The coincided with Daniel initiating several malicious proposals to the country's administration, including a proposal to leave Aurora, the alliance of eIreland at the time. Daniel had also made attempts to steal funds from government orgs, and had asked Ian E Coleman for Command of the IA, but been rejected. Luckily security measures had been in place against theft, and the Ministry of Finance had taken pro-active measures given the unproven nature of Daniel.Plainview's status in the community in the first place. It was reported that the damage was minimal, relative to the risk associated with a malicious CP.

After several months spent in the shadow of the Independent Labour Party, another "Renewal" takes place within the party under King Trito Fisher's and especially Martinho69's presidencies. During that time the new Party Charter was written (February-March 2016), and Eire Aonair became the party with the largest number of members in eIreland. On April 5th 2016, citizen, party councillor at that time, is elected Country President. It had been nine months since the last time a member, Anthony Colby, occupied this function in June-July 2016. Trito Fisher and citizen entered government respectively as Minister of Education and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Finally, Sluagh became a dictator few weeks later, and engaged radical reforms toward the Irish administration. After three terms and that he refused to take part in the new government, Martinho69 decided to leave office at the end of his last term in April 2016e. Trito Fisher became his successor at the head of the party, as well as one of the most powerful players in Ireland. Later, Trito Fisher as PP and the representative of the party, stated that Eire Aonair supports Sluagh's dictatorship and system of governmente.

Communications

Eire Aonair communicates using in-game resources (articles, group private messages & live feed).

Charter

Since March 2016, the Eire Aonair Charter has replaced the former constitution on the initiative of party president Martinho69 and his cabinet. The charter limits the PP's powers and mentions the member's responsibilities within the party.

Politics

Eire Aonair's principle political values are outlined in their constitution. Additional political stances are decided democratically by the members of the party through a process of proposal and voting. Stances can also be reversed, replaced, or amended through a voting process outlined in section one of each stance. These stances are not partisan commitments, but represent the interests that should be protected by the party's leader in representing the members.

Northern Ireland

In May of 2011 Eire Aonair passed its official stance on the territory of Northern Ireland in eRepublik. [1] The stance outlines that Northern Ireland is legitimately an original territory of the UK where Ireland is defined as the Republic of Ireland rather than the island.

Democratic Practices

In September of 2011 a new official stance was passed by Eire Aonair outlining the democratic expectations of the party for Ireland. [2] The document supports a discrimination free democracy where loyal citizens are encouraged to vote without being under duress or authoritative instruction. It also makes comments on the ideals of logical debate rather than rhetoric or pure propaganda. In addition, the conditions of party support are outlined stating that, "(the) official political support of Eire Aonair for a political candidate does not represent a guaranteed vote from all of the party's members."

External Candidates

1. A maximum of two external candidates may be permitted willful priority by the party president of Eire Aonair. 2. No external candidate shall be appointed by the party president a top five spot above any proven member of Eire Aonair.

Within the bounds of these rules the priority of external candidates will be determined in the same way as all other candidates, through the rankings provided by Eire Aonair's leadership board (party president, vice president, secretary general, councillor, and spokesman).

Members

Eire Aonair has been home to many players of various real life and in game backgrounds ranging from anarcho-capitalists to socialists. Dominantly Eire Aonair's members communicate in english and endorse an Irish cultural foundation.

History

Foundation

Eire Aonair's name and symbol (the raven) were inspired by the influences of Eire Aontaithe and its founder Wandering Rian. Eire Aonair was founded on March 17, 2011 by Ian E Coleman. This was after the complete wipe of eIreland in December 2010 that had removed all of eIreland's previous political parties - an event that forced the nation to start over from scratch. Three months after this event, the political scene of eIreland was saturated with new political parties. The high saturation of eIreland's political scene explains the slow growth of the party and much of the continued difficulties that would be faced in the future.
