Roby Petric was a politician in Croatia and USA.
He was the first Croatian president. Before coming to Croatia he was an active politician in the United States of America. He is a former president of the United States Workers Party and former president of the USA.

The Legacy of President Roby Petric

While Petric's presidency was short lived, the US government saw massive overhaul and restructuring during it. He created a number of new departments, with the goal of employing as many players as possible to get them involved in the game.

He utilized the new USA forums to coordinate these new departments.

He created a Regional Development Department to help keep regional bonds alive in V1 when mayors were taken out. He resurrected the FBI and changed it up a little to hunt multis in the US and deal with repeats of situations like Operation Eagle Strike, and a CIA to gather information on foreign powers to be used by the president strategically, along with other departments.

All but the Department of Regional Development have been successful.

Roby Petric appointed a very bipartisan cabinet, and sought to include smaller sixth parties in government.

Resignation

On the eve of V1, Roby announced on the forum that he would be quitting eRepublik, he declined to state the reasons at the time. Many people speculated that Roby was quitting because, as a Croatian, he was angry that Croatia was not created.

Later on, however, this proved to be wrong. A long explanation was sent to then Acting President ThisGenMedia was released, which basically stated that he was leaving because he disagreed with the way the admins were managing eRepublik and V1, and stated that "Although I believe it's the end of eR we all know." He was able to enter the V1 beta test about a week before the actual release, and was disappointed with the game.

He chose not to disclose this publicly because he didn't want his influence to ruin the public perception of V1 before it was released.

He transferred the password of the Federal Reserve to ThisGenMedia and briefed him on the monetary situation. He sent emails to the admins asking them to give TGM the presidency and to suspend his own account.

Roby Petric's Death and Funeral

On November 7th it was announced that Roby Petric passed away. His death shocked and saddened his followers. They thought he was a great politician and an influential figure in US politics.

According to The Statesman funeral services were held in the USWP Forums where a eulogy has been written by Lukasz Makowski. The topic of this forum has been opened to all to post and read by the administrator.

The "50 Most Important eAmericans" was a series of articles published by Lowell Kennedy highlighting influential citizens of the United States. Roby Petric was ranked 6th most important American in this series of articles.

Revival, and leading the creation of Croatia

Roby Petric has revived with the announcement of Croatia, the newest country in the New World, and his homeland. He was leading the movement which was setting up the government and economy of the youngest eRepublik country, which had an enormous influx of newly registered players in the first two days, with over 600 players registered.

He created one of the first parties in Croatia - Hrvatska Demokratska Stranka (HDS), center-left party, proceeding in Croatia with work he has done for workers in the USA, and also leading the fight against announced political takeovers from all sides of the New World, trying to protect his homeland from thievery and robbery.

After his election as President of Croatia, he officially appointed experienced people into the government. Many of these people have already been working hard in a Shadow Cabinet for a month before the official government was formed.

• Relic was named the Vice President of Croatia under Roby Petric, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Using a vast amount of contacts that he has built throughout the time he has spent in the New World, he established Croatia on the world scene.
• Kokach played a huge part in a growth of United States Workers Party alongside Roby Petric. He loved to be considered as the right-hand man, working in the shadow. He continued his work in a new Croatia.

Days of Wrath

The Croatian army initiated action against Serbia on the initiative of the then former President of Croatia - Roby Petric. The reason for the war was the alleged attack on the president of Croatia - Split1700 - supposedly carried out by the Serbian government. There is still some controversy over whether Serbian officials created multiple accounts and sent donations to Split1700 in an attempt to get him banned.

Croatia took over Serbia and took 5 of 7 regions without fighting. This action was known as Days of wrath (Serbian: Дани гнева, Croatian: Dani Gnjeva).
