The Definition - zamrg
zamrg \za-murg\ , noun:
+
The Birth
 +
zamrg was a noob born citizen who accidentally grew up in the streets of the Western Cape under Indonesian rule as a result of the Indonesia-South Africa War.  In order to escape the war-zone and opposition, zamrg was forced to work for a weapons manufacturer building stock for a war against his own true country, South Africa.  After earning minimum wage for several weeks, eating a staple diet of bread and water, and living from alley to street corner, he finally saved enough money to purchase a moving ticket and relocate to Gauteng, South Africa

who knows?
+
The Pursuit of Happiness
 +
zamrg arrived in Gauteng eager to get life on track, settle down and find a stable job.  It was South Africa's former president, Gabriel Borien, who offered zamrg his first job as a weapons manufacturer earning enough income to purchase necessities and simply make ends meet.  zamrg soon progressed from a low-end manufacturer to a highly trained craftsman producing weapons for some of South Africa's finest companies.

A Brief History: The Neverending Story
+
A few months went by and zamrg had settled down well in Gauteng living a routine life working a 9 - 5 job and training after hours to gain physical strength.  zamrg was living the South African dream, a dream which was soon to be shattered.  It was at this point that life took a turn for the worse and zamrg found himself back on the street living behind enemy lines.  A successful political takeover by Brazil and Indonesia forced South African citizens to evacuate their homeland and flock to ally countries.

The Birth
zamrg along with many other South African citizens emigrated to Florida, USA. The South African people were welcomed in and many including zamrg went on to join the military and pursue a combat career.

The upcoming presidential elections saw a race between RonelI Remon777 and GreyHunter, three strong, loyal and well respected candidates.  It appeared to be a landslide victory for GreyHunter; however just minutes before the closing of polls, RonelI received a surge in votes giving her the keys to the country. It was soon discovered that this once loyal South African was in fact a puppet of the Harvad University, a channer group that come to take over and destroy the country. The country would have open citizenship if she didn't hold a single region before congress elections so the operations team had to work timeously to save the country from what would likely be a permanent occupation.  The resistance together with allied forces made two further attempts by starting resistance wars in Limpopo; however they were met with heavy resistance from PHOENIX and were ultimately unable to overcome such firepower.

The Fall of Rising
zamrg took a 6 month break from the game but made a silent return after the demise of eRepublik Rising and launch of V1.5, a fusion of some of the concepts introduced in eRepublik Rising with the simplicity of V1.  He immediately took a position in the United States Marine Corps serving under Bravo 1 of Bravo Company; however his stay was short lived due to personal differences with commanding officers and a change in direction of foreign policy taken by the USA. The USA together with many of her current allies and long-term enemies formed the PANAM alliance, a controversial alliance that forced countries to form new friendships and sever ties with old allies. The alliance included Brazil, a natural enemy of South Africa and a country who at the time occupied three South African regions. The USA had distanced themselves from South Africa and the relationship between the countries subsequently plummeted to rock bottom.

zamrg was a Swedish Icon-Sweden.png citizen, although he died as South African.

He is most notably known for having served as the President of South Africa and Chief of Staff of the South African Armed Forces during the Great Southern War.

The Birth

zamrg was a noob born citizen who accidentally grew up in the streets of the Western Cape under Indonesian rule as a result of the Indonesia-South Africa War.

The Pursuit of Happiness

zamrg arrived in Gauteng eager to get life on track, settle down and find a stable job.

A successful political takeover by Brazil and Indonesia forced South African citizens to evacuate their homeland and flock to ally countries.

zamrg along with many other South African citizens emigrated to Florida, USA.[1] The South African people were welcomed in and many including zamrg went on to join the military and pursue a combat career.

In The Army Now

Whilst not yet strong enough to join the United States Army, he was initially placed in the Training Division, 1st Company, 3rd Platoon on 30th May 2009 where he learnt valuable combat lessons, strategies and gained a significant amount of strength. On 13th July 2009 after completing his training, he was promoted to the United States Army as a Private in the 4th Division, 2nd Platoon. He spent a month fighting with the United States Army but soon decided to join some of his South African expats in the United States Airborne. He joined as a Private in the 82nd Division, 1st Platoon on 31st August 2009 but was shortly promoted just 19 days later to Sergeant of the 82nd Division, 3rd Platoon under the leadership of his South African friend Krimpiekat. After spending a month with the 3rd Platoon, he was promoted to Lieutenant to lead the 82nd Division, 2nd Platoon for which he served for just over 3 months.

Soldier of Fortune

zamrg was invited to join Executive Contracts, a mercenary group lead by Gabriel Borien and Siroe. He remained with them for a month at which point the group was disbanded due to lack of demand and funding.

Call to Arms

With South Africa still under Brazilian oppression and the resignation of Chief of Staff Ali Mentary, zamrg was called to active duty by President Mark Morcom who asked him to step up and lead the South African Armed Forces during what would be an incredibly challenging period for South Africans.[2] With his international military combat and strategic experience, he assisted in bringing the South African Armed Forces on par with international standards. He introduced mass attacks, improved the efficiency of weapons distribution and branch/platoon tracker management, created the High Command group - a group of military leaders similar to the Joint Chiefs of Staff that would effectively run the military and all strategic battle operations, and he also helped boost activity through the use of forums, an in-game orders system and mass recruitment campaigns.[3]

It was supposed to be a quiet month for South African citizens as negotiations for the return of regions continued; however diplomacy would soon be exchanged for weapons, tears and blood in events that lead to what was later named the Great Southern War.

Viva La Resistance

A resistance war broke out in Gauteng, South Africa's occupied capital, population center and a region that was to hold titanium, a scare resource that would be heavily contested over with the launch of eRepublik Rising[4]. The South African Armed Forces and operations team worked closely with allied countries and EDEN leadership planning join strikes, monitoring damage, distributing weapons and organising employment for foreign soldiers[5]. The resistance managed to overrun enemy combatants and Gauteng was returned to South Africa after many months of occupation; however the country was soon to face a series of events that would once again lead to the complete political takeover of her regions[6].

Waltzing Matilda

The upcoming presidential elections saw a race between RonelI Remon777 and GreyHunter, three strong, loyal and well respected candidates. It appeared to be a landslide victory for GreyHunter; however just minutes before the closing of polls, RonelI received a surge in votes giving her the keys to the country[7]. It was soon discovered that this once loyal South African was in fact a puppet of the Harvad University, a channer group that come to take over and destroy the country. The group had sold their services to Brazil and Argentina and just hours after being elected and gaining control of the country, had retreated all her regions to enemy forces[8]. The true South African citizens elected GreyHunter as their resistance leader who in turn appointed zamrg as his Vice President[9].

Chief of Staff zamrg made the decision to evacuate all branches of the South African Armed Forces, both home-guard and mobile elite forces, to Australia where the fight would continue in what was known as the South Africa-Argentina War, South Africa-Brazil War and Great Southern War[10]. Australia together with South Africans in exile fought side by side in numerous battles; however a series of blocking maneuvers and region swaps soon closed this front as Australia was unable to border a South African region.

The country would have open citizenship if she didn't hold a single region before congress elections so the operations team had to work timeously to save the country from what would likely be a permanent occupation. The resistance together with allied forces made two further attempts by starting resistance wars in Limpopo; however they were met with heavy resistance from PHOENIX and were ultimately unable to overcome such firepower[11].

A miracle then hit giving her one last opportunity when PHOENIX launched an operation to reclaim Rhone Alps, a high resource region which as the time was occupied by Poland. With allied forces occupied elsewhere, South Africa had to use her own might, hire mercenaries and tanks to pull a victory out the bag. A last minute tanking effort and joint strike by allies after Rhone Alps had been secured lead to the liberation of a single region placing South Africa back on the map and securing the country from open citizenship[12].

South Africa was able to gain a majority in congress allowing her to impeach traitorous President RonelI giving control of the country to resistance leader GreyHunter[13][14]. With Australia blocked from continuing their offensive in the Great Southern War, the front of the war shifted to South African soil. The liberation effort continued with yet another successful strike by the South African Armed Forces and allies with a victory in Gauteng[15]. After many months of combat, the South African Armed Forces, operations team and allied forces had managed to liberate eight of her nine regions. It was at this point that zamrg went into retirement stepping down as Chief of Staff and handing over control of the South African Armed Forces to Tronyx[16].

The Presidency

zamrg took a less active role after stepping down as Chief of Staff and accepted the position of Vice President of South Africa serving under mulderpf[17]. It was quiet but monumental term for South Africans who were able to liberate Limpopo marking the first time since the Indonesia-South Africa War that the country was whole[18].

zamrg then decided to venture further into politics announcing his candidature for the Presidency of South Africa in what was the final presidential term of V1[19]. He ran against two of his fellow commanders from High Command, Stryke Blayde and Calew, but ultimately walked away with a landslide victory and 58.24% of the votes. It wasn't much of a significant or eventful term for zamrg who had become overburdened with his responsibilities within the game and whose activity had declined to the point that immediately succeeding his term, he announced his departure from the game[20].

The Fall of Rising

zamrg took a 6 month break from the game but made a silent return after the demise of eRepublik Rising and launch of V1.5, a fusion of some of the concepts introduced in eRepublik Rising with the simplicity of V1. He took a position in the United States Marine Corps serving under Bravo 1 of Bravo Company; however his stay was short lived due to personal differences with commanding officers and a change in direction of foreign policy taken by the USA. The USA together with many of her current allies and long-term enemies formed the PANAM alliance, a controversial alliance that forced countries to form new friendships and sever ties with old allies[21]. The alliance included Brazil, a natural enemy of South Africa and a country who at the time occupied three South African regions. The USA had distanced themselves from South Africa and the relationship between the countries subsequently plummeted to rock bottom.

zamrg, after spending a year across difference branches in the United States Armed Forces, moved to Poland, a former ally of the USA who fought in the opposing Order of New EWorld (NWO) alliance. He joined the official Polish Army as a Private in the WP1 division; however his stay was once again short lived due to a conflict of interest in his position as Minister of Defense of South Africa and a soldier in the Polish Army. South Africa was busy negotiating a rental agreement and peace treaty with Brazil, a key enemy of the NWO alliance[22]. zamrg was honourably discharged after which he returned to South Africa to serve out the remainder of his term.

The End

zamrg moved to Svealand, Sweden, on April 10, 2011.
