The Federalist Party (Feds) is a political party in the USA that believes USA is as strong as its citizens. Focused on education and service, The Federalist Party pushes for federalism in the eUS and fights for shared responsibility between all parties and the federal government.
Party Views
Here's what the Feds are all about:
Feds and the US
1. We are Country-first
2. We believe in federalism and the power of parties
3. We are totally self-reliant and do not believe in political alliances at the party level
Feds and you
1. We are a meritocracy
2. We are newb-centric
3. We are here to help
Proud = Horny
1. Nation > party > self
2. RL > erep

Party Hierarchy
The Federalist Party has a host of departments and initiatives designed to benefit both party members and the country as a whole. The leading contributors are the six departments the Feds maintain; FedEx, Fun, Media, Political, Recruitment, Retention, Technical and the S.H.I.E.L.D private military unit. While these departments all have their respective heads they all answer to the Party President, but in most cases, the departments oversee the party's day-to-day operations and constitute a significant portion of the party's volunteer positions.
Active Party Programs
The Federalist Political Department has been one of the most powerful entities in the game. Actively promoting the policy of Nation before Party, the PD has secured the nation against potentially bad candidates and organized coalitions to help such efforts. This, however, does not prevent them from doing well in the elections otherwise. The Feds have done extremely well in Congress over the years of its existence, being the first "sixth party" to have a Speaker of the House and President as well as the first non-top party to attain a plurality in Congress under the direction of Director FireSand.
The Federalist Department of Media (formerly the Department of Public Relations) oversaw the main publications for the party, publishing releases every so often. Alongside this was the Department of Media & Marketing, in charge of fundraising and, while they were part of the game, ads. When it was realized that the names had some overlap, the departments combined to form the new Department of Media & Marketing (M&M for short). Under the direction of many esteemed Feds such as TheCrimsonPatriot and Kara Beth, M&M prospered. When citizen ads were removed and leadership changes, the fundraising aspects of the department dwindled and the focus shifted to just Media. Over time, with the loss of Federalist Organizations, Media died off and was only revived by first PP elected in 2012, Molly Emma.
The Federalist Outreach Program is a dedicated staff of volunteers utilized by the party leadership as a communication tool, to inform party members of the activities and initiatives the party is involved with, as well as national affairs of importance. The program was started by wingfield in 2009 and originally was organized by geographic regions (with the fortress states of New Jersey and Florida representing their own areas). Under citizenslave later that year, the program exploded and grew immensely. The FOP gained a hierarchy of the Department Head, followed by his deputy, then the several District Representatives, each of whom had several Precinct Captains who sent out the message to everyone else. After his departure, the program fell apart and eventually would be put to the side. Over time, the program would be used by a few people, but it never had too steady of a staff. Under Fluffydoorman, did the FOP get a significant revival with the Hooligans. Although not to the scale that existed in '09, the program was back up and running as a method for many new people to get involved.
Federalist Recruitment and Retention is one of the newest departments in Fed history. Tasked with gathering new players, its targets have been rather successful, as the Federalist Party was closing in on the USWP, the party that holds the #1 spot. Recruitment plays a significant role in the party history from the humble beginnings as a 6th party to its rise as the first 6th party to crack the top 5. Thus, R&R has remained prominent in its relatively short existence (in terms of the existence of the Party).
The Federalist Party has been one of the most successful parties in organizing a militia to fight for the United States of America, this came in the form of the Easy Company. Created in December 2009 by the Federalist Party, the EZC has become one of the leading militias in the world maintaining a spot in the Top 5 for damage in recent weeks, as well as maintaining over 230 members in the in-game MU. Being one of the oldest and first Party Militias, the program has seen many a war and was involved in many operations over the years, including one of its earliest ones being Polish Sausage. Although the party has debated officially dissolving party ties with EZC, the program had remained a Federalist-led militia and was operated out of its MU page and the forums, although it was open to Non-Feds, until March 2013. As of March 2013, EZC officially broke its ties with the Federalist Party to become an independent militia. After much discussion and a poal (sic), the new Federalist Militia, S.H.I.E.L.D., was created in April 2013 under the command of Tiacha.

Formation of the Federalist Party
The Federalist Party (FP) was originally known as the eRepublicans for Change Party (RFC). During a discussion of a rename several members opted to change from RFC to the FP, however, upon further research it was discovered that the Federalist ideology did not, in fact, support the ideology of the RFC. After an internal vote was declined regarding the name change several members decided to leave the RFC and create their own Federalist Party in October of 2008.
The founding members of the Federalist Party believed a more conservative approach to eRepublik was necessary for the long-term success of our nation, so in the early days, the party was firmly hard-right. The Federalists at the time were primarily focused on political prominence, quickly earning a number of seats in Congress. Those early Congressmen advocated a responsible and balanced government, supporting education and transparency. Despite a total lack of recruiting effort, the Federalist Party grew in size between December and January, marking a distinct increase in overall party activity.

Federalist Credo
As Federalists:
We believe that our country comes before our party, and our party comes before ourselves. A Federalist will place the nation's interest above their own.
We believe that a person's work ethic and ability should be the primary factor in consideration for party positions and congressional candidates. A Federalist believes in giving players an opportunity to serve based on their merits and not how long they have played the game.
We believe in honesty and transparency, whenever possible the Federalist Party will decide business in public venues. A Federalist will not lie, and if a mistake is made will openly come forward and admit it.
We believe in a higher moral calling, and as a party, we will strive to do what is right and not what everyone else is doing. A Federalist does not cheat or steal and plays the game as it is meant to be played. If trusted with a national or party leadership position, a Federalist will discharge their office with impeccable moral character.
We believe in continuing education, party members will strive to educate themselves to be the best citizen they can be. A Federalist will work to share their knowledge of the military, political and economic modules with other party members to help them excel.
We believe in diversity of ideas, as a party we may not always agree on issues, but we will be respectful of each other's opinions and debate issues based on the merits of the cause. A Federalist will maintain a civil dialogue even when they disagree with someone.
We remember this is a game, with the objective to have fun, whether you play for 15 minutes or fifteen hours, a Federalist will remember that real life comes first and not to take anything too seriously.
We are Proud/Horny to be Federalist and Americans.
Federalist Reforms
During July and August of '09, the Federalist Party underwent a massive overhaul, under former Party President fingerguns. In an effort to create more party jobs for more members and boost activity and party reach, a number of departments were created.
The Federalist Outreach Program was started, which serves a dual purpose as the party's main line of communication to members as well as the mentorship/recruiting department. This program was first started as a recruiting project by wingfield and then handed off to citizenslave, who expanded to include all party communication. Over the past year or two, the program's name changed to the Federalist Express, or FedEx.
The Military Office was created during wartime to help the nation drive more citizens to various branches of the military. The department was initially headed up by Captain Panther. In August, fingerguns announced that the party would be starting its own Federalist Training Division, in response to the complaints from new members about their inability to get in or out of the military's educational boot camp. This party training division was then developed by Captain Panther based on official military training docs. Other parties have since adopted their own training divisions, as well, to help educate new citizens on fighting and wellness. The Training Division went defunct soon after Easy Company, the party militia, was formed in January.
A media and marketing department was developed to work in conjunction with the PR department. The purpose of media and marketing is to utilize the new eRepublik ad module, create new (entertaining) ways for the party to reach across the aisle, and organize party fundraisers. Media and Marketing was fused with the Public Relations department, due to the fact that their roles are very similar. Eventually, the marketing would be dropped, as the ad module was removed.
The business office expanded as the Federalist Party-owned companies were revived. Led by citizenslave, the party was able to offer discounted items for members on a daily basis and also employed a number of the party's members. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) was also created as a national service, non-partisan office with the goal of educating the citizens of the USA about businesses, money, and the overall economy through articles, surveys, seminars, and research projects. It quickly went inactive however, and there no longer is party based communes.
In early July, due to the recent inactivity of the BBB, the Business Department was created. Headed by Nikolai Omega, it was created to run the party and Easy Company companies, as well as manage the party finances. The department was run with the heavy collaboration of then-EZC Commanding Officer Calebb and Party President David Landon.
Just after the creation of the Business Department, Landon and longtime party member ibnroshed2 announced the formation of the Education Department, which mainly dealt with the newly-formed Federalist Education Academy. It however, quickly became more of an archive of guides instead of its intended purpose as an educational center.
The Recruitment and Retention Department was re-named the Fed Recruitment Office in mid-August by qubert18 just after he was elected as party president. The FRO was an expanded version of R&R, centering its focus on bringing new eAmerican citizens into the party.
