Albania (Albanian: Shqipëri/Shqipëria) is a country located in the Balkans, Europe.


Albania borders Icon-Greece.png Greece to the south and the south-east, Icon-Republic of Macedonia (FYROM).png Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) to the east, Icon-Serbia.png Serbia to the north-east, Icon-Montenegro.png Montenegro to the north and Icon-Italy.png Italy to the west across the Adriatic Sea. The country was confirmed to be added to eRepublik on Day 1408 and was added on Day 1452 along with Kosovo, as region of Serbia after a poll conducted among the eRepublik community.[1]

Early History

The Albanian population was mostly gathered in the United States due to its high resources and the friendly relationship among the two nations. An article released by aLalban one of the first Albanian players, brought more than 700 new Albanian players to the game.[2] After this successful baby boom the administrators of the game decided that Albania would be added to the game sometime in the future.

Albania has 3 original territories: Tirana, Albanian Coast and Southeastern Albania. The original capital is Tirana. It borders all the regions of Montenegro to the north through Albanian Coast and Tirana. It borders Kosovo to the northwest through Tirana. To the east ot borders Western Macedonia,Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) through Tirana and Southeastern Albania. To the south it borders Epirus and Macedonia, Greece through Albanian Coast and Southeastern Albania. To the west across the Adriatic and Ionian seas it borders Apulia, Italy through Albanian Coast. Throughout its history Albania has conquered various colonies like Montenegrin Coast, Central Montenegro, North Montenegrin Mountains or Kosovo.

Most of the Albanian citizens are of Albanian nationality in real life and come from Albania, Kosovo, Fyrom, Montenegro or other places where they live. There is also a minority of Albanian citizens with Turkish, Argentinian, Romanian and other nationalities who have made Albania their home and help in its development. The current population of Albania is 7054 people and it has been constantly increasing since its introduction to the game because of several baby booms. The population is still relatively young with an average citizen level of 9.

The official language of Albania is Albanian. English is also recognized as an official language of the game.
