Deificus is an American citizen in the New World. He was born in Raleigh, NC, USA, on February 25, 2009 (Day 463 of the New World). Although he spends a great deal of time abroad, his present station is in Sacramento, California. Currently, he is serving as Commandant of the United States Marine Corps.

Military Service

Training Division

In the beginning of his military service career, Deificus joined the United States National Guard, 2nd Division, later to be known as the Training Corps. There he served, studied, and trained under the direction and tutelage of Lieutenant Dczip.

The Cavalry

After graduation from the National Guard 2nd Division, Deificus was transferred to the United States National Guard, 3rd Division, then known as The Cavalry. Unlike the National Guard's 1st Division and 2nd Division, the Cavalry was a deployable force. There, he began service to defend American Interests around the world under the direction of Lieutenant SteveInTacoma.

Mobile Infantry

After the breakup of the US National Guard into three separate branches, Deificus was transferred with the remainder of his unit into the newly instituted Mobile Infantry and would become an Infantryman to serve under Lieutenant RaquelFerreira in Bravo Company, 4th Platoon (Bravo Four).
About a week into service with the Mobile Infantry, Colonel SteveInTacoma of Bravo Company offered Deificus the recently opened command of the 7th Platoon. With little hesitation, he accepted new responsibility of commanding Bravo Seven, and was given the Mobile Infantry service rank of Lieutenant. Now a new challenge was laid before him: Heavily neglected by past leadership, Bravo Seven would require a major overhaul in activity and leadership.
After three weeks of hard work, Bravo Seven was finally up to speed as a respectable platoon. Under Deificus' command, the platoon became more active. They would regularly respond to Roll Call, they made deployments regularly, and improved their overall strength, wellness, and rank dramatically.
Because of faithful service, dedication, and loyalty, the Commanding Officer of the Mobile Infantry, General Bastion, offered a new command for Deificus.
With a recently founded Press Department building a strong interest in the Mobile Infantry to produce an amped up recruiting drive, direct enlistment from previously untapped citizens was an immediate and overwhelming success. Added with the current flow of recruit transfers from the Training Division, a new company was needed to house these new soldiers. Deificus accepted the command of the the newly instituted Charlie Company and the Mobile Infantry service rank of Colonel. This new challenge offered would not only require him to accept the responsibilities of an entire military company, but would also require him to build it from nothing.
After some time spent in building Charlie Company, both of Deificus' mentors in the military, Bastion and SteveInTacoma, decided to retire from the military life. With that, he decided it was time to part ways with his long-time home and transferred into the United States Airborne.

Airborne

After some time in the Mobile Infantry, Deificus decided to place his career in the hands of the United States Airborne. There, he briefly served under the stewardship of Lt. Bearsfan30 in the 3rd Platoon of the 101st Airborne Battalion. 10 days later, he was promoted the service rank of Sergeant as the Executive Officer of the new 5th Platoon of the same Battalion, serving with Lt. Wahoobob.

Mobile Infantry, Round Two

After some internal rumblings from soldiers of the Mobile Infantry, it was discovered where General Loftedraptor had laid orders to move the Mobile Infantry to Ukraine without authorization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Getting the information into the right channels quickly resulted in General Loftedraptor being relieved of his command. As the newly promoted General, Sir Valaro Volcrum looked to the Airborne for Deificus to return to his roots in the Mobile Infantry as Executive Officer of the outfit.
Quickly reassembling the outfit, the two new leaders removed a lot of dead weight with a limited-time roll call: All soldiers who responded within 24 hours were allowed to remain in the Mobile Infantry. Many new initiatives were put in place, and new leadership structure was assembled to delegate much of the day-to-day operation.
After a few weeks as Executive Officer, General Sir Valaro Volcrum decided it was time to see the world. After a month of service, he promptly retired from his post and requested that Deificus be posted as the new Commanding Officer.
With Deificus in charge of the Mobile Infantry, the branch began to tighten up even more. Several administrative positions were removed for the sake of streamlining the chain of command, new government-run companies were setup for soldiers to work at while abroad, and the size of platoons were reduced. Before retiring as General of the Mobile Infantry, the branch now constituted a smaller outfit more capable of fitting within the budget originally set for it, and the overall strength requirements were nearly doubled (from 4+ to 7+) due to the quality of soldiers being retained.

Marine Corps

The Marines are -- without any doubt -- the best of this man's army. After a long stint with the Mobile Infantry, Deificus' transfer into the United States Marine Corps was accepted, and he joined their ranks as a Private in Delta Company's 1st Platoon. Led by Lt. Morclye, the "Delta Devils" are the newest platoon of the Marine Corps and the fact that this branch has the need to open new platoons exists as proof that the United States is becoming stronger in its higher ranks.
After the Morclye's promotion to Colonel, Deificus was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant as the Commanding Officer of the Delta Devils.

Military Campaigns

As a soldier of the United States Armed Forces, Deificus has made effectively participated in military campaigns around the world in the national interests of the United States. Included below are the more important campaigns he has participated in.

Operation: Taco Bell

While a trainee in the United States National Guard, Deificus participated in the many battles that would push the United States into Mexico. Initially branded to the public as war games, the United States began aggressive expansion into Western Mexico, advancing as far south as Oaxaca before being halted. With great assistance from Portugal and other PEACEKeepers, the American forces were pushed back to the Rio Grande. Coupled with symptoms of a failed administration, a failed military effort in Mexico signaled a successful Presidential Impeachment of Uncle Sam.

Day 541

On Day 541 of the New World, Deificus participated in the battle for the Far Eastern Russia, Russia. On that day, American military forces worked with other ATLANTIS nations in a failed joint international effort to push the PEACE GC from all sides and force them to divide the PEACEKeeper force and prevent them from taking key Romanian-occupied regions across the Asian continent. That day would mark the beginning of the final days for the ATLANTIS world alliance.

Operation: Turkish Delight

In what amounted to a full-scale assault on the Turkish nation, Deificus participated in most of the major battles of the campaign to free Greece and Israel from the Turkish oppression. The campaign to greatly reduce Turkish occupation was waged on all fronts -- on the battlefield, in political circles, and in the media. For days, Turkish media was blacked out by heavily-voted articles of American liberators. Multiple resistance wars were staged at a time to draw Turkish forces into feints and reduce their efficiency in protecting any one region. Ultimately, all of Israel and a large amount of the Grecian homelands were liberated.

World War III

In the longest and most important campaign to date, the United States suffered heavy losses. Canada fought to utter annihilation, only to be a nation reborn a day later. In the thick of it all, Deificus has moved with the Mobile Infantry and the Marine Corps to fight both at home and abroad for the American national interests. Whether in the defense of Spain or Greece, or defending the North American continent from the likes of the PEACE opposition: France, Hungary, Indonesia, Portugal, or Russia.

Operation: Frostbite Ivan

Toward the final days of World War III, Russia began harassing the Scandinavian countryside due to Norway, Sweden, and Finland blocking Russia from attacking their allies in America. Along with help from Hungary and the United Kingdom, Russia took a great deal of the original Norwegian regions and were finding ways to stop their Scandinavian brethren from preventing it. In order to end the open war between Russia and Norway, Norway -- much like Canada previously -- would have to be completely eliminated from existence. As a part of the US Marine Corps, Deificus was a part of the joint military effort to help Finland and Sweden completely break down the Norway so it could be reborn by resistance wars without an open war with Russia. Afterward, the military participated in rebuilding the Norwegian countryside and repositioning the Scandinavian regions to their original borders.
