+ | Baker was born in the UK United Kingdom on the 28th January 2009 in London. A few days after his birth in eRepublik, he bought a newspaper and made his first article as an ignorant new citizen calling for a new, revolutionary Britain. These calls were answered by another new citizen, bdog, who offered to come along on the political journey of revolution with Baker. Together, they raised 15, and took over the United Belgian Party, renaming it the United Revolutionary Party. However, Baker was later contacted by the People's Communist Party, and was educated in the game and the United Kingdom national forums and community. He joined the party, and quickly signed up to the forums, becoming an active member of the party and the United Kingdom community. A few days later, Hassan Pesaran contacted him after inquiries into joining the Royal Guard, the territorial branch of the UK Armed Forces. He directed Baker to Brigadier HazzN, the RG Commanding Officer.

+ | His first leap on the property market began with the purchase of a Q1 rubbish skip in London, which he bought for 3 after around two months of life. He moved up in the world after joining the navy, selling his Q1 to upgrade to a Q2 terraced house in central London for 5. This residence served him well, until a month before version two, when he came to acquire a Q5 mansion in the Chiltern hills for a 100% discount (0). The mansion has since been left to deteriorate when Baker moved to South Africa. It is estimated to fall into disrepair by Saturday, 20th of November, 2010. Baker considered the purchase of a new Q5 estate in Limpopo, hoping to acquire the necessary funds to do so as soon as possible.

Thoroughly dismayed, he joined a military unit, the Royal Navy, in hopes of a similar experience. A few days later he discovered that this Royal Navy was politically orientated towards the UKPP, so he transferred to The Legion in hopes of a less politically biased and more military-minded community.

I, Karacticus, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, hereby appoint John F. Baker, Member of the Order of the British eRepublik Empire, as conferred by the United Kingdom Honours Committee. |
I, Field Marshal Tom Morgan, Chief of the Defence Staff, hereby award John F. Baker membership to the Distinguished Service Order as conferred by the United Kingdom Military Honours Committee. |
Admiral Lord John F. Baker KGH KOS MBE DSO MID*, 2nd Duke of Buckingham was a long-serving military officer and moderate politician of the United Kingdom, also having served as a Foreign Office ambassador, under Minister of Home Affairs and various other appointments throughout the UK. He was born in London on the 28th of January, 2009, and served in the British Armed Forces for 20 months before migrating south for the winter in September 2010 to South Africa. In late January 2011, he returned to the United Kingdom to join the "new" Navy, before later retiring from in-depth eRepublik activity.

Citizen Life
Early Life
Baker was born in the United Kingdom on the 28th January 2009 in London. A few days after his birth in eRepublik, he bought a newspaper and made his first article as an ignorant new citizen calling for a new, revolutionary Britain. These calls were answered by another new citizen, bdog, who offered to come along on the political journey of revolution with Baker. Together, they raised 15 GOLD, and took over the United Belgian Party, renaming it the United Revolutionary Party.
After a month of party & military activity, and spam posting in Bob Boblo's House[1] (the spam section of the U.K. forums [2]), Baker started to post in more sections of the forum such as General section and the Art section, benefiting people with new avatar requests with his developing graphic design skills, which would later become a major source of propaganda for the PCP and the wider United Kingdom.
Travel
Baker remained in the UK for the first six months of his life, residing in London and Northern Ireland. After his transfer to the Royal Navy, he saw numerous deployments overseas, including extended deployments to Brazil and Russia working in naval ports.
After moving to South Africa in the late summer of 2010, he based himself in Limpopo. Upon joining the Praetorian Guard, he saw deployment to Gauteng, to liberate it from Brazilian clutches, and Muntenia in support of Romanian forces.
He returned to London, UK on the 26th of January '11.
Family & Home Life
Baker has never had any real eRelationships, and is still searching for that special someone to cook him bacon. However, the dashing character he was, Baker had seven children, all to different women while abroad:
- Kazhy (born Aug 29, 2009)
- thedemonwithin (born Sep 03, 2009)
- Paulybravo (born Nov 02, 2009)
- Darknote (born Nov 09, 2010)
- Jonathan Carradice (born Dec 12, 2010)
- Sausage2010 (born Dec 22, 2010)
- davidotk (born Dec 30, 2010)
His first leap on the property market began with the purchase of a Q1 rubbish skip in London, which he bought for 3 GOLD after around two months of life. He moved up in the world after joining the navy, selling his Q1 to upgrade to a Q2 terraced house in central London for 5 GOLD. This residence served him well, until a month before version two, when he came to acquire a Q5 mansion in the Chiltern hills for a 100% discount ( 0 GOLD).
Sports
Baker has participated in numerous eSports throughout his life, playing in the Football Association Premier League for London. He also won the first eUK Boxing Championship[3], and ended in the middle of the charts for 3 eUK Grand Prix championships.
Religion
Baker is a devout follower and founding member of Bobloism. Although the religion was not founded at a distinct time, he was there to see its development throughout the golden ages of UK spam in the summer-autumn of 2009. He is currently a Spamdinal of the Spamican Church, Knight of the Knights of Spammalot and Prophet of the Great Bump. In 2011, John spent a brief period as Pope of the Spamican Church, earning him the record of the shortest Pope term, after he essentially declined the appointment due to inactivity.
Graphic Design
Baker has designed many images for entities such as the United Kingdom Government, Parties and avatars, as well as international requests for work. You can see a selection of his work throughout this article, and below;
A large proportion of the pieces held in the King Stephen Art Gallery are works of Baker.
Name Change
On the 20th May 2011, he changed his name to John F Baker.
Business
Baker was a skilled Land worker in Version 1 of eRepublik, and also trained in Manufacturing skill to take advantage of highly competitive wages. When Version 2 was released, he transferred his skills to be a Mechanic, and later trained in Engineering. Work skills were later merged into a single skill.
Baker has owned two past companies, J&M Grain and J&M Rifles, from the organization J&M UK. This organization was set up with friend, Max Kirby.
He has also held investments in a select few businesses, including Kiro Industries and Blagging Forex.
In late March 2011, John created a self-sufficient food/grain business, made up of the following companies:
- Royal Navy Algae 1 - United Kingdom - Grain
- Royal Navy Algae 2 - United Kingdom - Grain
- Royal Navy Sea Biscuits - United Kingdom - Food Q2
Politics
Over time, Baker has moved further to the left of the political spectrum, and "down" towards a more libertarian view. From the political compass calculator, Baker's first reading in mid-2009 read -3.88, -2.36. On 1 Dec, 2010, it read -7.00, -4.41.The United Kingdom
Early on in his life, just 28 days after his arrival in eRepublik, Baker ran for congress in London and went on for 5 consecutive terms as a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons under the banner of the PCP and thus entrenched himself as one of the elite. At the same time, he took a leading role in the London Regional Council, providing work, help and education to new players in the region, as Vice President and Treasurer. He has also held numerous posts during five spaced terms as under Minister of Home Affairs and been appointed to the prestigious upper house of politics in the UK, the House of Lords where he was given the title of Second Duke of Buckingham, succeeding Scipio The Great. When the House of Lords was abolished, Baker was appointed as a Senior Advisor to the House of Commons.
As a Member of Parliament (MP), Baker was fully against the UK move from ATLANTIS to PEACE in mid-2009, voting no whenever possible. [4][5][6] He was an advocate of military self-determination, and supported all attempts to limit the power of the political system on the running of the military. [7] In early 2010, his suggestions found themselves heard, and the position of Minister of Defence was merged into a new position, the Chief of the Defence Staff, ending political appointment of the military, and allowing the heading of the military by a professional head who rose from the ranks, independent of the current governmental administration.
In July '10, Baker represented the British Armed Forces at an Anglo-Brazilian diplomatic summit, as a senior officer present, talking with his Brazilian counterparts in the military.
South Africa & Elsewhere
In South Africa Baker was quickly noticed by Grimstone, the resistance president of South Africa, as having good wiki skills, and was given the position of Director of Wiki in the South African Ministry of Information, holding this position from September to December. In December, he volunteered to be the British Foreign Ministry's ambassador to South Africa, and the South African ambassador to the United Kingdom, beginning his foreign affairs career. Baker was also elected to Congress of South Africa as a representative from Limpopo, as part of Hungarian-South African political hand-over agreements.
Baker has also been a civil servant in the United States Departments of State, and Treasury, and held connections with the Kiwi Social Democrats, sharing ideological orientation to an extent, past friends from the UK, and from having produced the party logo and other graphics.
Back in Britain
On the 26th of March '11, Baker was re-elected to serve in the House of Commons as MP for London, under the ESO party banner. [8] Midway through April, Baker discovered that his application to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had been accepted and, unalerted, he was Diplomat to Western Europe.
In May '11, Baker ran for Wales (ESO), due to London being designated a new-player-only region, to encourage fresh faces in the House of Commons. He failed, however, when late-day PTO votes kicked him and some colleagues out of the race.
In June, Keram10 appointed Baker under Minister at the Foreign Office, after a short chat and a request to serve as a lowly ambassador to South Africa. He was later elected MP for Northern Ireland under ESO, going back to his roots in the old Royal Navy HQ region. In July, he decided to take on a lower appointment in the MoFA, taking on the position of Ambassador to South East Asia and Oceania for the month.
Return from the Dead
In January of 2013 Baker awoke from a long slumber, and after contacting acquaintances within the government, was appointed Deputy Minister at the British Foreign Office on the 13th. He rejoined his old party, Every Single One. After co-developing and designing the eCivil Service, in February he was appointed Foreign Office Technology Attache with a remit to expand the service with functionality beneficial to perpetual Foreign Office operations.
On 19 March, Baker resigned his membership of ESO, and began a voyage around the political landscape of the eUK beginning with The Unity Party (TUP).

When eRepublik Rising (commonly referred to as V2) was released, Baker focused on his Rifle skill, reaching level (Veteran) in its operation. The four separate weapon skills were later merged back into Strength. Baker was promoted to the rank of Lt Colonel** on the 20th Dec 2010.
The Royal Guard and Royal Air Force
John F. Baker was drafted into the Royal Guard soon after he joined eRepublik during the reign of Brigadier Horice P Fossil, and was initially placed in Squad A4 as a Private, under the command of Sergeant Caithness and later Sergeant wallyboy444*. He shone as an active and dedicated guardsman and was soon promoted to the rank of Corporal serving as second-in-command of the squad. When Baker Company was opened due to Royal Guards expansion in members, Baker was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, commanding Squad B4. A month later, he transferred to the newly recreated Royal Air Force as an airman in No. 1 Squadron RAF. He remained here until Brigadier certacito requested his return to the Royal Guards when the Imperial Guard, an elite division of the Royal Guards, was created out of Echo (5th) Company. He was put in command of the 1st of two squads, Squad E1. Soon after, he was promoted to command Baker Company as a Captain.
He remained in this position until the decommissioning of the Royal Guards due to inactivity, when he transferred to the Royal Navy in the late summer of 2009. Baker saw the Royal Guards come and pass.
- Guardsman - Squad A4 Royal Guards
- Corporal - Second-in-Command, Squad A4 Royal Guards
- Sergeant - Commander, Squad B4 Royal Guards
- Sergeant - Commander, "Spectres" Squad E1 Royal Guards
- Captain - Commander, Baker Company Royal Guards
*When Wallyboy departed from the Royal Guards to join the Paras, he jested that perhaps one day, he would rise through the ranks to command it, with Baker once again under his command. Wallyboy went on to become commanding officer of the Paratroopers.
Baker joined the Royal Navy after six months' service in the Royal Guards, when he ended his parliamentary career and sought the more active and inviting community of the Navy. He had previously liaised with the Navy as an officer in the RG, coordinating a series of nationwide recruitment campaigns, nicknamed Operation: Spam Overload by the Royal Navy at the time. He would remain in the Royal Navy for around a year, rising from deckhand to its last Commanding Officer.
Baker joined the Royal Navy aboard the HMS Hassan Pesaran under the command of Captain George Norfolk. Weeks later, both he and Norfolk were promoted to the rank of Captain-ADC (aide de campe), as junior staff officers in the administration command team, led by Rear Admiral Huate. However, the rank of Captain-ADC proved problematic with other officers holding Captain ranks due to the Command Access privileges given to ADCs, and it was soon abolished, and all holders were promoted to the rank of Commodore. Baker remained in this position for many months, until the Warfare Command Department head appointment, previously filled by Rear Admiral Reprah, became vacant and was filled by kdoggroundtwo.
During his time in Navy Command, Baker had reached the skill and strength levels required to join the special forces. He promptly joined the Royal Marines, and later The Royal Parachute Regiment which was dismantled and replaced with the Special Forces Support Group. He remained a soldier in these branches whilst serving as an officer.
Soon after, the Administration department was dissolved due to outsourcing of company management to the Ministry of Work, and he was transferred to the Royal Navy Training Division staff, and later took command when Rear Admiral Johnnythefish resigned. When Admiral of the Fleet Nice Guy Eddie replaced R.R. Napier as Commanding Officer, Baker was appointed second-in-command of the Navy while continuing command of the Training Division. After a month or so, Nice Guy Eddie resigned, and Baker took his place as Commanding Officer, 1st Sea Lord.
He commanded the Navy for around two months before resigning due to real-life public examinations. At the height of the navy under his command, it consisted of 600 sailors across 6 fleets and 23 vessels.

On the 27th January '11, he rejoined the Navy, and a ship was commissioned in his name.
The People's Army
For a month-long period, Baker also took on the role of Commander, People's Army, the self-supplied paramilitary branch of the People's Communist Party. However, his duties in the Royal Navy prevented him from becoming fully involved, and he soon passed on this command to Dodgy Dude, a fellow PCP member and Royal Guard friend. The British Army and Special Air Service
When Baker returned to eRepublik after his examinations, the British Armed Forces had undergone a complete restructuring and reformation in preparation for eRepublik Rising or V2, a process which he had only an early say in before his resignation as Navy CO. He rejoined the military as a special forces soldier in the Special Air Service assigned to 21st Regiment SAS, but after a conversation with kdoggroundtwo, then General and Commanding Officer of the Infantry, Baker was taken in as a staff officer with the rank of Brigadier. He remained there for a long while until asked by Field Marshal George Norfolk, then Chief of the General Staff, to form the training branch of the British Army, due to his past experience with training operations.
Therefore, Baker created the Army Training Corps and set the foundation stones for training in the United Kingdom Armed Forces of V2. A month and a half later, on the 2nd of September 2010, he resigned his post in the British Armed Forces due to boredom with his eLife and left the country, migrating to South Africa. General Gav Miller succeeded him as General Officer Commanding, Army Training Corps.

The South African Armed Forces & SEAL Team 6
A week after migrating to South Africa and receiving citizenship, Baker applied to the South African Armed Forces, specifically the Pretorian Guard reserve branch. At this time, the SAAF was being restructured and reactivated after a long period of inactivity around the transition from Version 1 to Version 2 of eRepublik. Baker was assigned to the newly created 1st Platoon, 1st Company under the direct command of Lieutenant Vanessa1309. On the 15th of November, Baker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, commanding the newly formed 4 Platoon of the Pretorian Guard.
- Private - "Titans" (later "Centurions") 1 Platoon 1 Company, Pretorian Guard
- Lieutenant - "Delta Dawgs" 4 Platoon 1 Company, Pretorian Guard
On the 22nd of December, Baker was also accepted into SEAL Team 6, the private US militia, by the then-commanding officer Julian Mizu, and placed into the "Fighting Squirrels" platoon. On the 23rd of January, Baker resigned due to examinations and general RL busyness.
On the 26th of January 2011, Baker resigned from his post as Platoon Commander 1/4 Platoon PG, and returned to his birthplace, London to join the re-created Royal Navy, placed in the high-strength Special Boat Service. On the 15th of February, Baker was promoted to the rank of captain to take over command of HMS John F Baker. On the 7th of March, he replaced Sven Goran Duran-Duran as the second Commander-in-Chief Fleet (Navy CO). [9]. On the 25th of April, Baker resigned for most likely the last time as CO, RN.
- Petty Officer - Trooper, Special Boat Service
- Captain - Commanding Officer, HMS John F Baker
- Rear Admiral - Commander-in-Chief Fleet (Royal Navy), later Deputy Chairman of the Military Honours Committee
After resigning as Commander-in-Chief, Baker transferred back to the Special Boat Service section of the United Kingdom Special Forces. In July, he was selected from the UKSF to join the newly created United Kingdom Elite Forces. Due to real life and a lack of self-supplying companies, he later resigned and took up a 2-clicker post advising the Military Decorations Board.
From Inactivity to Legionnaire
In January of 2012, after reactivating, Baker instinctively looked for a suitable branch of the British Armed Forces. To his shock, however, he found that it had been completely disbanded. Thoroughly dismayed, he joined a military unit, the Royal Navy, in hopes of a similar experience. A few days later he discovered that this Royal Navy was politically orientated towards the UKPP, so he transferred to The Legion in hopes of a less politically biased and more military-minded community.
He was assigned to the 6th Regiment, and from the end of the month served as an unofficial member of command helping to strengthen the community and regimental structure of the Military Unit. On 31st January he was appointed acting commanding officer, 6th Regiment due to the lack of time Gav Miller said he could commit to the role. On 15 February he was appointed substantive commanding officer, by this time of the 6th Black & Yellow Jackets (Regiment of Sexy Sexy Bees). For the following three months, he commanded the 6th, transforming them into the 6th Kings Own Royal Black & Yellow Jackets (Regiment of Sexy Sexy Bees) and successfully driving activity, making the regiment one of the best for turnout and damage at strikes. At the peak of his command, he convinced King Woldy to accept the position of Honourary Colonel of the Regiment.
