How to customize

To upgrade/downgrade buildings click the button and then click the button next to the building you want to upgrade/downgrade.

After you've found the "Building upgrade" pop-up, you can choose to either upgrade or downgrade your building by clicking on the button under the desired quality level.

Effects of customization

Upgrading your building allows you to improve the outcome of the building. There are several types of buildings that can be customized:

Factories for products - produce better quality products. When upgrading a factory consider that raw material usage is increased
Training facilities - increase the amount of strength for the same amount of training cost
Rocket factory - create better quality rockets (and even boosters in the highest quality rocket factories)

Downgrading a building on another hand provides you with a fast influx of gold to your account. When downgrading consider that you will lose half of the gold that you have invested in the building.

Costs of customization

Upgrading requires a certain amount of gold, while downgrading returns half of the investment originally involved in upgrading it. The table below shows the total amount of gold required to upgrade and the total amount of gold returned with downgrading with the original level on the left column and the desired level on the top row. (Use these tables as you would a multiplication table.)

Factories for products

If you decided to build a factory to produce one of the eRepublik products you will be able to choose to downgrade/upgrade a company's quality from the Company (presentation page). Companies can also be sold or dissolved.

Training facilities

Your training facilities can be upgraded and downgraded, but not sold or dissolved. Upgrade/Downgrade is possible from the train page.

Rocket factory

If you would like to have a rocket factory, you can build one (and only one) from the advanced buildings page. On this page, you can also upgrade or downgrade your factory, but you cannot sell or dissolve it.
