Ireland (pronounced [ˈaɪɾlənd]; Irish: Éire [ˈeːɾʲə]; Ulster Scots: Airlann) is an island country located in the northwest of Europe. It is composed of six regions and borders three other nations (UK, Canada and the USA). As Ireland has a small population, its geographic location has been exploited to create a strong defensive position. Ireland is a former member of EDEN, an alliance that featured many of Ireland's historical allies.

The vast majority of Irish media is written in english. Because of the small population of the country, it is more difficult to get a Media Mogul achievement as authors will need to find subscribers from outside of Ireland to reach one thousand. Ireland's media is very active for a country of its size, usually providing enough well written news and articles to stimulate the average reader.

Ireland welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, but the majority of its citizen are nonetheless Irish in real life. While Ireland seeks to reflect, preserve, and take pride in its traditional culture and history, it welcomes the existence of a cultural mosaic amongst its many diverse and talented citizens.

Ireland is a country with a relatively small population. When compared to the rest of the world Ireland generally stays virtually parallel to world population trends. Many of the significant population jumps and falls are related to the addition or subtraction of national territories through military conflicts and/or to the arrival of a previously formed group from another country.

Government
The vast majority of Irish media is written in English. Achieving Media Mogul achievements is a difficult task in Ireland as the population is relatively low. Many citizens have their own papers to publish articles in. The Irish government's organizations are also regular contributors to the media. Much of Ireland's media includes articles about the political situation of the country, but the vast majority of the media articles are about social and entertainment and helps to create a rich social environment in the country.

Ireland's very low minimum wage was instituted to accommodate communes that wished to pay workers in the supplies rather than wages. This low wage has no foreseeable  affect on capitalist industry as the average wages in Ireland are reliably much higher than any reasonable minimum wage.

Like many other countries, the Irish community has renamed the generic institutions of eRepublik to reflect the individual culture and community of Ireland. Further details on the common government titles of Ireland can be found on the Government Structure page.

Ireland's congress, known as the Dáil, is composed normally of 40 representatives, each known as a Teachta Dála (TD). These representatives are elected by the people through voting for political parties. The number of representatives in Dáil is based on the number of regions held by the nation, as explained here.

Ireland (pronounced [ˈaɪɾlənd]; Irish: Éire [ˈeːɾʲə]; Ulster Scots: Airlann) is an island country located in the northwest of Europe. Ireland's geographic location has often been exploited to create a strong defensive position. Bordering only Icon-UK.png UK, Icon-Canada.png Canada, and Icon-USA.png USA, Ireland's six regions are strategically insulated. This has allowed the country to maintained a strong community with diverse views and politics. Ireland has healthy elections and is active economically, militarily, and in the media. Ireland is a founding member of Aurora.

Icon-media-mic-home.gif Media

The vast majority of Irish media is written in english. Because of the small population of the country, it is more difficult to get a Media Mogul achievement as authors will need to find subscribers from outside of Ireland to reach one thousand. Ireland's media is very active for a country of its size, usually providing enough well written news and articles to stimulate the average reader.

Ireland is not only home to the native Irish, but also to residents from a wide variety of distinct origins. Ireland welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, but the majority of its citizen are nonetheless Irish in real life. Prominent expatriate groups include Americans, Bulgarians, Canadians, Greeks and Croatians. While Ireland seeks to reflect, preserve, and take pride in its traditional culture and history, it welcomes the existence of a cultural mosaic amongst its many diverse and talented citizens.
