Military and Alliances
Latvia initially decided to become neutral and not join any alliances. This encouraged Finland to attack Latvia in order to gain a region with high grain in June and July 2009. Although Finns initially took over 2 Latvian regions (Zemgale and Latgale), they gave Latgale back as "a friendly gesture". Latvia then joined PEACE and with their help regained Zemgale.
In October 2009 Latvia attacked Finland after a landswap with Estonia. Although Latvia initially gained control of Southern Finland, it was reconquered a few days later. After that Latvia has attacked Finland in order to drain damage from other battles.
On November 17, 2009, Latvia officially left the PEACE GC.[1] In December 2009, Latvia officially helped founding the Phoenix alliance.
In June 29, 2010, Phoenix expelled Latvia for its hostility towards Estonia. The same day Latvia was conquered by Lithuania and Estonia, only to be put back on the map shortly after via 2 Resistance wars. Currently Latvia is wiped off of the map by [[Russia}}.
