Romania (Romanian: România, Bulgarian: Румъния, Ukrainian: Румунія, Hungarian: Románia, Russian: Румыния Latvian: Rumānija) is a country located in South-East Central Europe, North of the Balkan Peninsula, on the Lower Danube, within and outside the Carpathian arch, bordering on the Black Sea. Almost all of the Danube Delta is located within its territory. Currency

The official currency in Romania is the RON, Romanian New Leu (Romanian: Leu românesc). Exactly as in the rest of eRepublik countries, Gold can also be used in Romania.

Currency rates

Since December 31, 2007, Banca Nationala a Romaniei (National Bank of Romania) has been regulating the monetary market of Romania to ensure the stability of the exchange rates. Because the high number of monetary speculators and the monetary attacks during wars, the role of the National Bank of Romania is a very important one. Each month, the minister of economy, who leads the National Bank, is chosen by the president. As of March 27, 2010 the exchange rates are:
